  Good question from KJ:

  I know when I accepted the Window’s 10 upgrade, I was signing all my rights away, but the one annoying fact that I never see posted is how to make the windows update low CPU priority?

  I admit that I am a PC gamer. I like it better than Xbox or Playstation since i can use my PC for work as well as entertainment.

  Problem is whenever I am on a MMO or in the middle of a large memory intensive Excel spreadsheet, Windows decides to download updates and even with my high speed internet, hogs the bandwidth and usurps my CPU; making me sit there and watch my HDD light stay solid red until the download is complete.

  I’m not looking to stop the updates (been told that’s impossible), but I would love to know how to make it so the updates are given the lowest priority when it comes to resources.

  Many people are outraged when Win10 takes over the machine.

  Other than that, you can throttle the updates themselves by using a metered connection, or by turning off Windows Update.
