MS-DEFCON 3: The June Windows and Office patches look safe, but Win7 users need to be wary
The Win7 patches still have the oem<number>.inf bug that can bring down your Network Interface Card. Win7 users should also double-check that they’re no longer using Windows Defender.
I still can’t recommend 1803, but I’ll be moving my production machines from 1703 to 1709 over the holiday.

Patch Alert: Here’s where we stand with the June patches
This month’s patches contained a few surprises and some significant bugs, but they were largely fixed around the end of June. The big problem: Despite Microsoft’s assurances, Windows 10 1803 isn’t ready for prime time.

Patch Tuesday’s tomorrow. You know what that means.
I’m moving us to MS-DEFCON 2: Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don’t do it.

June 2018 Office Non-security updates have been released
June 2018 Office non-security Updates have been released by Microsoft on June 5, 2018.
Just a reminder – these updates are NOT covered under May DEFCON-3. Unless you have a specific need to install them, you should wait until Susan Bradley (Patch Lady) approves them and any problems have been reported. They will still be here tomorrow, and next week (and next month, for that matter). Don’t be a Guinea pig!
