Using Office apps with non-Microsoft cloud services

OneDrive and SharePoint aren’t the only cloud storage options available. There are others that will work inside modern Office apps, some with far superior security and privacy capabilities.
Anyone who has read my past articles will know that I’m no convert to Microsoft’s “everything in the cloud” zeal. Cloud storage has uses for some documents and situations but not necessarily for everything, despite Microsoft insistence.

Controlling audio in Windows has always been one of those things that should be really simple — but aren’t.
Recently, I ran into another audio problem that really had me flummoxed. When I was watching a Netflix movie on my PC, inside a Firefox tab, audio came through just fine on my USB headphones. But if I unplugged them, there was no audio from the speakers attached to the machine’s audio-out port.

Dropbox changes the behavior of public folders

Starting tomorrow
For Basic/Free users, your current public folder will become a normal secure folder. This means any current links to items in your public folder before the change over this week will no longer work. New shared links will need to be created, to enable sharing to continue.
