    • Maybe you have already done this. . .
But my method of operation when I have such a problem….

      Get a cold beer….
I reboot and try to install again.
If that does not work, I remove the offending app and reboot and then download the app again and try again.
99% of the time it works for me.

If that does not work……I get another beer and do just as you did, Post here. Ha!

Also, I remember I had some problem with adware because I had Live Care runing too. So you miight want to make sure that there are not other ‘spyware’ type apps running while you are trying to install.

“If you click the top level “-” to close the entire folder tree and click the “+” to expand it again, Outlook will fix this. That’s just a workaround; I’m not aware of a solution.”

Thanks, that seemed to do it! I guess I had never closed and expanded the list before??? Or If I did I just wasn’t paying attention.

I do change the display settings once in a while (playing Flight Sim and when I hook up to a TV to watch movie and etc.) I will watch what happens when it changes back and forth.

      Thanks again.

Most commercial can handle Pub files.
And I would think that Publisher would do just fine.

With that said. With any program, there is a learning curve….. If you have never use Pub before then to do a professional job will take time on your part.
However Publisher has all the bells and whistles do it.

You probably won’t get as much as ebay, but a lot less work.

    • in reply to: External hard drive not accessable (Vista Home Premium) #1103836

If you ‘google’ “external hard drive vista” you will see that this is a problem that many others are having.
I was thinking of getting an external but when I read the box covers, so far, not one of them say that they will work with vista.
So….I am holding off for awhile.

Ha! In googleing around, I found this guys statement….

‘If I could get the spammer I’d snap each of his fingers off and use them to make him(or her, I shouldn’t discriminate in this matter) even less comfortable than having their fingers snapped off one at time would.

Death to spam, pain and misery to spammers.”

Wow! I thinketh he is mad…. mad

I have gotten a few too.

I think they are hoping for the same outcome of the “Wet Paint” sign. You just have to touch it to see if it really is wet. So….maybe I will open this to just see what it is…..

Hmmmm, got me to thinking about borderless printing…… Seemed to see such when they print photos. Well after doing a google, to see which printers would print without a border, I found that mine would!!! (Mp530 Canon) Now, you do have to go to ‘properties’ and tick the box, but it will do it!
The things you learn here at the lounge……
      So….back to the problem……..

    • in reply to: Need help adding backroung image as leterpad! (2007) #1099686

One thing that might be causing a problem is your printer. Most printers can not print with out a margin. Just a thought.

    • in reply to: scroll bar left side (Ex7) #1098797

      Thanks Hans,
I use it from time to time, so I will also take a look at it.

    • in reply to: scroll bar left side (Ex7) #1098796

Thank you, this is my first lap top and after a little investigation I found what you were talking about! It is helping out fabulously!
      Thanks again.

    • in reply to: scroll bar left side (Ex7) #1098772

Is there a way to put the up-down scroll bar on the left side of the screen?
I use the touch pad on my laptop a lot and I think it would be a little easier for me if the bar was on the left side. (at least for me….)
      thanks

    • in reply to: Ad-Aware and Window Live OneCare #1096229

I got WLOC free when I signed up with DLS and Qwest. (Western USA) When I installed it asked to uninstall Ad-Aware (free version) which I did
Soooooo I have been using spywareblaster. I thought of re-installing Ad-Aware and see what happens but have not so far….

    • in reply to: Creating a hyperlink (2003/SP3) #1093425

What Steve said about holding CTRL and then clicking on the hyperlink holds true with me too.
So you might think it is not working…….but try it and see what happens..
