      Hi Jeff,

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. The PRINT LAYOUT mode certainly showed me the balloons. I wonder why they make it so difficult for users to use their software. Certain Features that were working have been removed and some new ones introduced, not necessarily good ones , but they seem more a pain to get used to , than anything else.

I have a small query for you, if you can help me. Lets say I am the receiver of a document. Should I be working in the “final markup mode” or the “original markup mode” and if the document goes back and forth many times are all the
original changes merged into one document with the “final” document just showing the last changes??

I suspect the answer shd be YES logically speaking. But I am not too sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.!!!

      Usha

      Hi Jeff,

One of my staff is currently using Office 2002 at her residence.

One of my collegues sent the user with WORD 20002 a document written and revised with WORD 2000/

Now this person with WORD 2002 cannot see the revision changes which is using preset colors. She is talking about some balloon in the revision changes with an underline. When she tried opening the word 2000 doc from a site with a WORD 2000 the revision changes show up. Has there been some new options to look out for , for WORD 2002 to use the revision changes ,made in word 2000.

Ur help is appreciated. I am not sure what they are talking off as I do not have Word 2002. Appreciate any pointers that lead to being able to use the document.

Hi Chuck, Thks a million for the zip file. I managed to successfully open it and now it is an autotext in my WORD2000. THks to all of you who have been responding to my query. I tried the insert code thing, but what happens is the line appears like a superscipt and looked odd. Chuck’s method is the only one that really worked for me.. can u explain why one would remove the symbol from the latest version when one uses it heavily esp. in the field of research and esp for one who writes a lot of Stats papers. I am thnakful to all of you once again. Great site. Thks to WOPR for all of this.

      Hi Kievin,

No luck there. When I insert the code it comes up blank.. when i toggle the code.. so where i am doing wrong.. if u have the mean symbol can u please send me an email tyo meisteru@hhsc.ca . I can copy that over an AUTOTEXT and then use it.. I think that might be the only safe way.
So if any of you have the MEAN SYMBOL please send it to me..

      thanks..

      Hi MerC,

Thanks a million for your reply. I thank the others for their resp. Replies too. Something funny happened when i went to your site. I saw the picture of Freddie merc there and told myself.. Handsome devil. Did not see the dates. Then I said to myself. Gosh this guy looks like Freddy MErc. Never did put ur site name to Freddy’s name. Talk of dumb heads. Then hubby pops up and I show him your wonderful site and he says “hey that is Freddy merc, and he is dead”. That was when it struck home.

Coming back to computers, I thank you for your detailed posting. I am an appl. analyst and i enjoy the site. I love your site with all those downloads. I think that REGCLEAN 4.0 is by far one of the best utilities I have seen in a long time. It helped me in the uninstall of an otherwise tough Macfee uninstall.
I shall send people in my field and otherwise to your site and thanks a million.. usha
