W7 SP1 was a major problem for me. Two of my major programs failed after installation. Quickbooks Pro 2009 and CorelDraw Suite X3 refused to worked after the update. None of the suggested fixes applied functioned. Considerng both worked flawless prior to the update this doe no bode well. Even IE8 experienced problems with several features shutting down.
To make it worse I know get auto updater installer Error 5 msg every time i start my machine.
This will will the second time a SP from wndows has forced me to buy new programs. NOt a very happy camper with MS.
