      Hans,

Thanks. I think the lack of response just means that the behavior was a true anomaly, bummer not something to worry too much about, especially now that we have found a workaround.

    • Wanted to say that I was having this problem too, and your solution fixed it. bullseye Thanks for all you do here! I don’t know how many times you all have saved my butt! kiss

(Edited by HansV to make URL clickable – see Help 19)

Check out PDF995 at http://www.pdf995.com[/url%5D. I believe they are free, and in their list of what their suite will do is:

“Output to doc format as well as html. The pdfEdit995 HTML Module allows users to convert PDF files to HTML files complete with images or Word DOC files without images. The pdfEdit995 HTML Module is available as a free download.”

I have not used them, but have been meaning to try them. Let us know what you find out!

    • in reply to: Navigate subfolders using keyboard (Outlook XP) #972168

Thanks, John. I found that to be true for me too.

The user is able to navigate to the first folder using the keyboard, but then the highlight turns grey and he cannot move any more using his keyboard. If he clicks on another folder (so it’s highlighted in blue), he can use the keyboard to move to the next folder, but then the highlight turns grey, and he needs to use the mouse again.

He is using Office 2002, and I cannot replicate it on any other desktop, so I wondered if someone had encountered this, and if so, how we might get it working for him. (Actually, this guy is a pain in the ***, and though he insists this is a major deal that cuts into his billable hours (he’s an attorney, what else!), I’m mainly pursuing this out of my own curiosity. I sure would like to be the one who came up with the answer for him though)!

      John,

Thanks, it looks like a great resource.

And thanks to everyone for their suggestions and help.

Great! cheers Please don’t do any heavy lifting for my benefit, though. My request was to make less work for me, not more work for someone else! dizzy

OK, that’s what I’m going to do. Thanks.

Very good Idea. doh But I don’t think I’m supposed to double post, so is there a way to just move the thread, or should I just go ahead and repost the question in the Access section?

I want to be able to manipulate the data fairly easily and not have to enter a lot of basic information more than once, so I think a relational database is best. Like I said, if it looks like no one has already constructed something like this, I will do one myself. But I just didn’t want to reinvent the wheel.

      Thanks,

    • in reply to: Monitor Drivers #891886

Yeah, I did that, but it reads just the default driver that Windows 2000 says it is using. I will have to open my case, or check with the shop that built it for me to see if they have any idea of what brand this one is. I checked the receipt, but no brand of graphic card is listed, just that one is installed.

Thanks again for all the ideas. I’ll let you know how this turns out.

I don’t know what my graphic card is, but I’ll try and find out and see if I can upgrade the drivers, or maybe get a new card and install it. Thanks for the link to the FAQ page, I didn’t check there. This gives me some direction to go, I’ll let you know what happens.

I’m still runiing Windows 98, so I don’ t think there are any hidden messages. But I may try the Ouija board next, to see if that helps! (I swear I’m not moving it!)
