    • That is perfect! Exactly what I was looking for.

      Thank You So Much.

    • I am having some trouble following the previous two posts. I do most of my work in Excel and am trying to expand into Access. I am attaching a sample of the Database that I need help with the Household Form, which uses the qryHousehold query to populate. I would like for all records to appear when the form is opened but would like the option to use two filters to narrow the records. The filters are Category and Sub-Category.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, this is exactly what I am trying to do. But I want to provide an interface so that the user can navigate to the file that will be imported. Once the file is selected, the Import should be automatic.

      Thanks,

I think you have the correct solution. I actualy thought of this myself after playing with the array formulas for a while.

      Thanks,

In the example that I posted, I was just looking for the mechanics of the formula. On the final product, all of the account numbers will be listed down the left column (400 account number) and the business units will be listed across the top row (50 business units).

I can’t use a pivot table because once the table is built, there will be some more manipulations that have to be made.

      Thanks,

I have been using the array formulas and they work great except that the actual file I will be using will have 400 Account Numbers and 50 business units for a total of about 20,000 formulas. I tried a sample with all account numbers and only 8 business units and it took my workbook over a minute to recalculate. I am afraid to try it with all 50 business units.

Is there another option besides array formulas?

I didn’t specify it in my initial post, but I will be using named ranges. I tried your formula and it works if I use actual cell addresses, but if i use a named range instead, I get a #NUM! error. Is there a trick to using named ranges in an array formula?

Thank you. HijackThis helped me to determine that I had a copy of RapidBlaster installed, which was causing the problem. I think I also had another similar program installed which I also removed. I also used Spybot Search and Destroy, which is also an excelent tool.

My only remaining question is how did these even get installed on my PC? I never OK’d the installation.

      Thanks!

I have tried AdAware. Deleted all of those items. I have also used WindowWasher to wipe out my cookies and temporary files. But they still continue to pop up.

      Thanks,

    • You are correct about the name, I want an msoControlButtonDropdown. I do not want to add a drop down list or pop-up menu, but rather a button like the “Borders” button, that when clicked, presents several other button type images that can be selected.

    • in reply to: Merging an Access DB with Word (2000 SR1) #607303

I suspected that storing images in Access wasn’t the best approach, but I don’t have any other choice. The Images are tiny (they are toolbar button faces) and there are only a few of them.

My situation is that I am writing some test scripts for an application and there will be six different versions of the script, and about 80% of the content will be the same across all versions. With version one of the application I had six different Word documents, which meant I had to update all six documents when an error was found in the script. With this version, I am storing everything in Access and merging it into Word. Everything is going as planned except for the toolbar image.

The reason that an Access report will not work is because the testers will be providing feedback directly on the test script.

      Thanks,

Thank You! tabctl32.ocx (SP5) did the trick.
