The SUMIF formula is exactly what I needed.

      Thanks

The second formula, the one without array entry, works fine. The array formua when entered as the first entry in column calculates correctly. However, trying to copy the formula down from that point down the column results in N/A errors. Not sure what is going on there.

Thanks for the prompt assistance. The first formula gets me what I need and is most appreciated.

      Thanks for the prompt reply.

Any suggestions on books or literature to become more familiar with VBA for Excel 97, 2000?

Yes, it is a start. Unfortunately, I frequently have column A blank, but have other columns with
information that is important and should not be deleted. How would I modify the suggested
routine to account for deleting row if Columns A-Z are all blank?

Any information would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately the formatting of spreadsheet is dictated by a report format. Is there a quick way to remove the merging, delete the empty rows, do the conditional summing, and then get format back to normal? In any case, being able to do conditional summing is a requirement, even if I have to do it
      manually.

After loading Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 lost access to Word 2000 SR-1. My copy of Word 2000 is from Works Suite 2000. Had to reload Word 2000. Very difficult to load SR-1. Would ask for CD-Rom, go about 95% through the upgrade and then crash. After running Norton numerous times, Defragging disk at least 5 times, and trying the SR-1 update at least 50 times, finally got it to take today.

Also noted that as soon as I loaded Acrobat Reader 5.0, lost everything except Acrobat 5.0 Reader in the Uninstall portion of Control Panel.

Certainly hope that you don’t have the same degree of difficulty that I had.

I have an AMD K6/2-300 and use Windows 98SE. 192 Megs of Ram, 30Gig HD with 21G free.

    • in reply to: WORD2000 CD-ROM #529714

It is possible to install the Word 2000 from within the WORD sub-directory on Disk 1 of the CD-Rom so that no part of Works is installed, which is what I did. Also, before my hard drive died, used Word 2000 with SR-1 and Windows ’95 without any problem so it would seem that there is no difference in the “real” and Works Suite version of Word 2000. But since my Works Suite disk will not Autorun under
any circumstances and other CD-Roms will, I presume that CD-Rom is probably damaged, but I don’t know why I can install Word 2000 Ok but can’t install SR-1. Any additional thoughts would be appreciated.

Tried your suggestion. Seems to have solved problem. Thanks.
