Regularly updated problem-patch chart
Is there any way that a small program from you could check my computer, and compare it with your patch watch and automagically install the appropriate changes, without using MS Automatic Updates?

Thank you Pam Caswell. I, too, was getting pretty frustrated with having to change the default every time I opened 2010. Your instructions were quite clear.

Automatic updates, as suggested in the article, scare me. I would rather someone else tested the changes, and after a month or so, I would update. In the Windows Secrets newsletter, Susan Bradley generally adheres to this philosophy (unless there is something that she knows needs changing immediately).

Have you tried Wizmo? I find that it is the quickest way to shut my machine down.
