I’m not sure why it should “block” access only to banking site(s).
As a “quick fix” would another browser work (such as Opera)?

AskWoody LoungerJust a guess, maybe hardware failure?
“Real mode system memory ” is the RAM; as opposed to “Virtual memory” which is allocated on hard disk.

AskWoody LoungerHave you checked MSKB Q148925 ?
Note: Depending on how you have the network configured it is possible for the “Network Administrator” to disable password saving for users as a system policy.

AskWoody LoungerAs you say in your initial post – I also hear a faint “bell” ringing. Unfortunately it’s very faint….
Wasn’t this something to do with document importing / type conversion? Check your current Word File -Save as… settings (doc rtf etc).

AskWoody LoungerNot a solution but maybe a workaround?

AskWoody LoungerYou’ve probably discovered by now but anyway…
Changing the FileType association ADDS the editor to the available list in InterNet Explorer. Notepad is still available.
Jeff changed the “edit” function, I haven’t tried this but if you wish to change the rightclick – view utility then perhaps you need to create a “view” function in the FileType association as there isn’t one by default?
