      Hi

I am pleased to be able to report that I have been running Office 2000 Premium on Windows 95 very sucessfully.

My only problems arose on installation due to the fact that my hard drive 10Gb is partitioned into 5 2Gb partitions and there was insufficient room on my C drive where Office would like to live so I had to install it on an empty E drive. There are slight speed problems as templates are on C but there are no functionallity issues with Word 2000 nor indeed with Access, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher, Outlook or Frontpage.

Office XP (and IE6) will not install on Windows 95 so at some point something will have to give!

      Regards

      Hi
Annoying at times I know but I don’t think it has anything to do with your particular computer.

I find it best to use the mouse to position the cursor at the start of the block of text to be highlighted and then use the keyboard up/down arrow keys to add to the selection as required. And dont forget the triple click for paragraph selection.

I recently found two useful templates at http://www.slipstick.com/addins/calendar.htm#manage which are Word templates that collect the information from your Outlook appointments and the as the resultant documents are Word documents you can customise with bold, colour, etc individual appointments. they were totally free and a very small zipped download and I was quite pleased with them. The whole slipstick site is pretty informative.

      Yes

It is one of the standard autoformat themes (along with Blends, Blue Print, Expedition etc) accessed from Format Autoformat menu.

I have used the Adobe Website to convert a 5,500kb Publisher 2000 file (one side of A4 with four photos, one table and a fairly heavt text density) into a pdf which it did perfectly and the resultant pdf is only 125kb! I would suggest you try out the online conversion of one of your files to check the results but in principle I foresee no problems.

That is really useful – thanks. Word even has a cute little calculator button just for the toolbar!
