AskWoody LoungerSo true. Many many times over the years using different browsers and operating systems I have attempted to make changes or tweak the application, and then decided to stop and cancel out.
Then all those OTHER times when I was brave making registry tweaks and such and ended up screwing up my system, I finally figured out what I was doing wrong from my greatest PC teacher and instructor, Professor Mistake!

AskWoody LoungerAnak,
I’m glad you had an answer for KenLauch. Sometimes the most simple solutions are hard for some people to find if they’re not that familiar with their browser options.
Its great that Windows Secrets has this helpful forum for all of us.

AskWoody LoungerI cannot be of help either. When Firefox went with their new “Chrome” look I reinstalled FF version 28 which has a “remove” button under the manage search engines options. I am guessing your FF version 30 doesn’t. I have also switched to the Pale Moon browser which looks like the classic Firefox and runs all of the previous add ons that you can’t find for FF version 30 anymore. Pale Moon also has a remove button in the manage search engines options. I don’t use Firefox anymore AND I don’t contribute to Mozilla anymore either!

AskWoody Lounger*1: MozBackUp…excellent, old, but still effective FireFox back up. Funny, but strange that NO ONE I know of has created a more effective FireFox backup program.
*2: Your FireFox homepage is getting highjacked? That is a Mozilla problem they need to address. I am sending this from my WaterFox browser that NEVER gets highjacked. Give it a try, or more than a dozen other alternative browsers that are searchable and easy to find.
Peace
