I cannot locate a personal.xl* file on my hard drive and I have selected view hidden files. When I select Windows > Unhide on my default worksheet, the option is greyed out.

    • in reply to: blank control toolbox (outlook 2000) #672630

I found the solution to this in Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 254097. Here it is:

To reset the Toolbox to its original configuration, perform the following steps:
      1. Quit Outlook.
      2. Click the Start button, point to Find, and then click Files Or Folders.
      3. Click the Name and Location tab, and then in the Named box, type Outlook.box.
      4. In the Look in list, select the drive in which you installed Outlook.
      5. Click Find Now.
      6. In the search results window at the bottom of the Find dialog box, click Outlook.box, and then rename the file (for example, to Outlook.bbb).

When you restart Outlook and start Forms Designer, the Toolbox contains only the Controls page, and all of the default controls are displayed on the page.

    • in reply to: Macros not running (Excel 2000) #669318

I did try to copy this file to the system32 directory, and I still get the compile error. However, when I save this file on a windows 98 machine, it opens fine on a windows 2000 pc.

I will try to find the visual studio 6 software and install it on the windows 2000 station. Thanks.

    • in reply to: Macros not running (Excel 2000) #669298

I am still having problems with this file on Windows 2000 stations. The security is set to medium, references are set correctly and I still get a “compile error, cannot find project or library”. I uninstalled and reinstalled office with all the options. In the references was a “MISSING: Microsoft Windows Common Control2-6” so installed windows 2000 sp3. This still did not resolve the problem.

      Does anyone have any ideas?

This worked perfect. Thank you very much.

    • in reply to: changing orientation in document (Word2000) #648554

Please find attached my word document. I have removed almost everything from the document to make it small enough to send and I still cannot change the orientation of the last page.

      Thank you.
