      Hi,

When you first register your tablet with the Android Market, it then knows what device you have and will tell you if the app is not compatible.

You can do this easily without a macro.
Home – Find and select- Edit – goto special
      Steve

Steve, the F5 key is a quicker way to the goto special command – I use it all the time

      Ted,

I think part of the problem is that the mouse in question is what you might call an el-cheapo bought off the internet. My dearer Logitech & Microsoft meeces tell me when the battery is getting low with a blinking light on the top of the mouse the cheap one did not have this.

    • in reply to: Sum of calculation AND worksheet name that it appears on. #1301154

      Hi,

See my attached file, I created a lookup listing of all the sheet names with a link to the relevant cell to find the maximum in – I then used the Max function on this list then used a lookup function against the listing of sheet names to find out which sheet had the maximum value. Hopefully you should be able to do something like this with your file.

      Susan,

Would you be willing to upload your file? If you have sensitive data, I suggest you replace it with dummy data. Once you have uploaded your file I can have a look at it in Excel 2007.

Hi, The only thing I can think of without seeing your file, is to check that the source data has no gaps between the headings and the data to be pivoted.

    • in reply to: Numlock turns off/on when macro is run #1298322

Thanks Rory, Good to know that I am not going crazy – I couldn’t figure out how sendkeys {TAB}” would turn off/on Numlock. The good thing about the new code is that if I want to change the code to move down after putting the X mark, I can simply change the offset to (1,0) instead of (0,1).

    • in reply to: Find missing values #1298297

Thank you. That’s what I needed.

OK. I’m not 100% sure I understood this part. In other words, I should have the actual song name (in text) in another column? Or, is Column C the ‘Unique Value’ you were mentioning?

You are welcome – glad I could help. What I meant about the unique values, was that if you had instead of my Column C a full list of song numbers in Column C and Names in Column D then once you have determined which song numbers were sung most or not at all, then you could easily lookup the name of the song.

      Regards,
      Maria

    • in reply to: Find missing values #1298174

Your spreadsheet would be better if you included a Unique values lookup table for Song Names and Numbers.

From your data I firstly typed a list of all 660 song numbers, I then created a counting formula to find the song number in your listing and count how many times it appeared. I then determined what count was the highest number, and created a formula to show all those rows that matched. I then did the same with any zero’s to find which songs had not been sung. To get the Top 10 you can use the filter tools on column D to get this.

      See attached updated file.

    • in reply to: VBA equivalent of CTRL+HOME #1292547

Steve, Thanks for that I confess I didn’t look at line 2. This code will be very useful for me, as I have a lot of very large spreadsheets with the first few rows frozen so that users always see the header rows.

    • in reply to: VBA equivalent of CTRL+HOME #1292282

      Steve,

A1 may not necessarily be the equivalent of CTRL+Home if panes have been frozen, it could quite easily be something like B5. I would like to know the VBA equivalent too as I use the frozen panes feature quite a lot on my larger worksheets.

    • in reply to: Graphing problem #1290175

Thanos, mine was the first wopr(1)adjusted.xls. By portrait orientation I assume you want to print it on a normal A4 sheet in portrait? If so, you only need to play around with the column widths to make it fit (in print preview mode). If you are talking about the second version that Rory did, then you will probably need to leave this in landscape as if you tried to fit it on a page in portrait mode it would be too small to read.

      Regards,
      Maria

    • in reply to: Graphing problem #1289691

      Thanos,

See Attached. I selected all the data, Inserted a Stacked Bar Graph, then right clicked on the graph created, clicked on select data and when the dialogue box came up I clicked on Switch Row Column and clicked OK. I think this is what you wanted.

    • in reply to: Total from drop down list #1262679

Can combo boxes also do what I’m trying to do with giving the total in another cell?
Is anyone else using Excel 2007? Those instructions are not for that version. I don’t see a “Control Toolbox”. It might be under Insert | Controls. There are two areas: Forms Controls and ActiveX Controls.

      CrazyKZ,

You can get to the Control Toolbox in Excel 2007 by choosing the Developer Tab on the ribbon. If you don’t see the Developer Tab you can set this to show in Excel Options.

You should find the Combo Box Control there, sorry I can’t help further as I have not used this feature of Excel 2007 yet.

      Regards,
      Maria

    • in reply to: Total from drop down list #1262671

I’m not figuring this out. I was able to get everything to work correctly with the DataValidation…all except for the further editing (font size, drop down list number, etc.).
I am using Excel 2007 and none of the informaiton matches up with the instructions above on the link.
Am I needing to start over now and use a different method? Sorry, I’m confused.
I have attached what I have so far (blanked out my data for the most part) if someone can help me.

      Thanks!

      CrazyK,

The further editing (Font size, Drop Down List Number of rows, etc) only applies to combo boxes – you are only using Data Validation in Drop down Lists not combo boxes. You would need to follow the earlier examples in the earlier links on how to create and format combo boxes.

      Maria
