AskWoody LoungerThe check for updates is set to choose and let me install. Right now after I uninstalled KB3035583 it appeared again but i have it hidden. There is nothing in task manager showing GWX process at all. Will try task scheduler as you suggest I’m running a 64 bit system here thanks very much for you help

AskWoody LoungerRan the troubleshooter and just ran the 3 updates which said successful however kb 3004375 and 3031432 did not show under view installed updates when you go into control panel and view them there. And it took a total of about 2 minutes for them to pop up again under windows update. What a joke. Going to hide them and let the chips fall where they may. Its a nuisance.

AskWoody Loungerthanks very much for that idea. i appreciate the help. Would you happen to know if I can run Realtek onboard audio and use an internal soundcard at the same time ?
Installed a Creative Soundblaster card and it automatically disables the onboard sound and when looking on recording devices the Realtek doesn’t show. If I go into the BIOS screen and renable onboard audio (providing it allows me to) will the Realtek once again appear in recording devices ? -

AskWoody LoungerThanks for your answer. I’m aware of the Realtek HD onboard sound in recording devices. I installed a Creative Sound Blaster card and removed it due to the fact it did not allow for the stero mix or “what you hear” capability. In order to install the card I disabled the onboard audio in the BIOS screen and lost the Realtek stero mix in recording devices. I do DJ’ing online and just wanted to improve my sound and be able to talk at the same time. I’m not a gamer. Most sound card manufacturers either don’t include this feature or leave it out of their drivers these days.
Does any sound card manufacturer still have that feature ? Noty looking for external sound cards or adding Audacity as I dont do any recording on computer. -

AskWoody Loungersorry meant there are 37.5mg free out of 100 mg of space on system volume partition. Is the number required to be at least 40mg for it to run a shadow copy? And is there a way to regain that space? Im not intensively tech savy so if there is an easy way to fix please let me know otherwise I will use an alternative. Thanks and I appreciate all your help.

AskWoody LoungerBoth services seem to be active I tried your SFC Scannow and I donthtink it showed anything Retried backup and got this message “A shadow copy could not be created. Please check VSS and SPP application event logs for more information. Details: insufficient storage available to create either the shadow copy storage file or other shadow copy data.” It was error message 08X81000019. Tried researching the error and thought the System Volume partition was under 40 gigs of free space.
