Yes, it has had time to replicate, it has had about one month! Thanks for the answer.

Didn’t know anyone was still checking on this thread! I got Bill Boswell’s “Learning Exchange Server 2003” but haven’t spent too much time with it yet. Looks like it should be a real help. We just had some interesting problems with the system when the PDC lost some GPO’s and when we attempted to restore things, Exchange found it had lost all authority and wouldn’t start. My, but people can get cross when they don’t have their email! Now the Exchange server is up but doesn’t want to spit out its backup tape. It’s all a good learning experience, right? Thanks for the reply. Russ

The download from D-Link is nearly like the installation CD-ROM. It has only a small readme text file in the XP directory but that piece does mention an installation floppy, which I have never seen or heard of before!
This Toshiba did come with Win98. The Toshiba site doesn’t have any update files for this machine and Windows XP. (That I can find.)
      Thanks for your help.

Yes, I read the instructions. XP says the driver in Windows is more current than any on the D-Link disk. It refuses to install or consider another. The instructions say to put in the card and Windows will install it. On the D-Link disk the XP directory has only a small readme text file, no special drivers.

Yup, the older (2 years older) correct driver from Compaq took care of the trouble. Win98 messed up on that one! Thanks for the help. Russ

I’m sorry, I’m referring to the horizontal bar, not the vertical bar with the buttons. This horizontal bar does nothing but display the folder name and take up about 2 text lines of screen real estate on my little screen.

Thanks for your help on this one.

Just a note to say I’ve found a good answer to this problem. Now I have the Canon A-10 digital camera, that uses Compact Flash memory cards. A $15 converter for these cards allows them to be used in the PCMCIA port of my laptop. Problem solved! This little camera seems to be very good, and great value for $160. And a 64meg CF card is only $30, which will hold more than 100 photos of good resolution. Happy clicking!
