First I would try to power down/re-boot the NAS to see if that would correct things.

Sorry, but I didn’t consider my post would be seen as a hijacking. Granted it was about a Win7 problem I had, but I wasn’t asking for help, on or off topic. I thought somebody may be able to use the information after having read all the other posts.

I thought that by using the red X the malware would still do some of its bad work. I was taught to use the ALT + F4 to kill the page. Using windows Task Manager is sometimes hard to figure out which is the bad process. A buddy had this and I had him go into safe mode and restore a previous version to get healthy.
