AskWoody Loungerthanks for this – I just have one problem left now – it appears I get a copy both in the designated folder and in the inbox. I have tried selecting delete but it does not want to play!
Can I achieve just sending to the folders an leave the inbox empty except for stuff which does not know where to go – or am I just being greedy!!!
Cheers
Roberta

AskWoody Lounger(Edited by WebGenii on 26-Nov-02 11:48. to add hyperlink)
THanks for the help.
By the way I have now tracked down the elusive article I was seeking in case it is of any interest to anybody:

AskWoody LoungerWhen you createa bulletted list one of the options is to have a collapsible outline. Then if you click on the top level bullet the sub level bullets appear. However, your mouse pointer looks like an “I” beam which means that unless you know it is a collapsible outline you will not understand you have to click on the top level bullet.
This article (which I cannot find) told me what to type in the HTML so that when you hovered over the top level bullet your mouse changes from an arrow to a hyperlink hand pointer – this is easily recognisable by people that they should click!

AskWoody LoungerThe strange thing was that it worked ok on the other two pc’s. using either the right click autofill, formats and using paste special. It just ignored me on the third!? strange!

AskWoody LoungerThanks to both of you – I am using Choose in the short term – but am going to convert all my relevant fields to look up combo boxes as time permits!!!
-
WSroberta
AskWoody LoungerDue to the ability of the users I need it to be via buttons – that is why I have gone for option groups which mean I can use really big buttons – picking from a list or selecting a combo drop down is not going to be practical in this application. therefore I need a way of formating queries and reports so that they show the text equivalents.

AskWoody Loungera bit of code would be much appreciated. As I am not sure how the syntax would go.
Thanks for your assistance

AskWoody LoungerThanks to all of you for your input on this one – I can now solve the immediate problem – but I agree I will have to persuade them into a major rethink!

AskWoody LoungerOops sorry – you are abolutely right – it made perfect sense to me at the time!
the link was to this address: http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/Customizatio…d2000Header.htmThanks for your input re section and protection – am I right that if I go down this route one would have to switch off the protection to get Page set up back?
also, thanks for all the other links you have included – these have already answered a number of other queries which were cropping up!!
Thanks
Roberta

AskWoody LoungerNovember 10, 2001 at 4:57 pm in reply to: activate macro on opening project file (Project 98) #551346Since posting this I have had a bit of a play (please bear in mind I am not very VB so I hope what I have managed to achieve does not go against the laws of nature!!)
I created several macros to achieve what I wanted to do (because I kept thinking of bits to improve things!) I copied and pasted all these bits together into one.
On another forum I found a bit about using
DisplayAlerts = False
(this needed to go before the start of the instructions for copying things in the organizer in this case!!.
Then when examining the project explorer in the VB Editor I found a reference to the project I had open (all the macros had gone into modules). When I selected this low and behold the screen suddenly gave me a Private Sub bit which included the magic word “open”. I cut and pasted everything into this and when I open the file if I select disable macros the tables remain as they were when I last closed the file and when I select enable macros the table are all updated to those in my “template” project.
can anyone please answer two final questions
– how to stop the screen showing me everything that is happening when the macro is running?
– how can I delete the modules I don’t want in the project explorer (when I select any one the edit menu is empty?) -

AskWoody LoungerCharlotte – can I just say thanks for the link you have included to mvps – this had some amazing stuff, which has given me all sorts of ideas! I will never get any work done now!
