Well, I just tried it and they sent me a key and a password. Now, I’m trying to find version 8. lol More later. I’m in bed fighting the flu.

      Ok. update

Follow the link above. Register, they will email your key but make a note of your account password that is only displayed on the webpage. At the Acronis site login to your account (with the info you entered when you registered and the password they gave you). You can change your password at the profile page. You should find a screen that shows a list of Acronis registered products. Click that link and in the box that pops up you will find a link that allows you to download the product. Google reader is fine. It also gives you the ability to log in from any computer (connected to the web) and read your latest feeds. Just create an IGoogle account and your homepage with Google reader will be right there too.

I most likely have missed the point of the original question, but if you want to view have a copy of a youtube video on your computer to view when you want, you can enter the URL into the appropriate field here: http://www.convertdirect.com/%5B/url%5D and it will d/l the video to your computer in flv format or you can have it convert it to AVI and then d/l it.

    • in reply to: Screen resolution (XP- home) #620704

When changing my screen resolution, I am doing it from within Windows. I right click on the desktop, select properties, settings and then make the change there. So, it’s a software change, that’s why I assumed that it could be different between multiple users on the same machine. Instead, it changes the resolution on everybody’s account.

      Thanks for the help though.

    • I’m having the same problems. Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer both pop up with “… has encountered a problem and needs to close.” Here is one error :
Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2600.0, faulting module flt.dll, version 1.0.0.1, fault address 0x000042de.

The other is: Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2600.0, faulting module flt.dll, version 1.0.0.1, fault address 0x000042de.

I’ve run the sfc /scannow command and it does something but doesn’t give a report or ask for anything.
When I run eventvwr.msc the two programs that have the red stop sign are Explorer and Internet Explorer.

I can’t seem to find a “repair” option for IE 6.0 nor for the OS which is WinXP -Home
      Processor Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 2.00GHz
      Processor Speed 1.95 GHz
      Memory (RAM) 256 MB
Operating System Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
      Operating System Version 5.1.2600

This is a Dell Dimension 8200. Does anyone know if I get out the system restore disk, if I’ll have to reformat and start from scratch?

      Thanks for any help.

    • I have experienced the same problem with FP2002 and the hit counter. To get the hit counter working – open the appropriate page with FP. Edit the page and remove the hit counter. Save your changes to the server. Reopen that page in FP again and reinsert the page counter. Do another save and then check the site with your normal browser. It should work.

      I hope this helps.
