Thanks for your reply. Do you have a Latitude 13, or are you talking about laptops in general?

The Fences utility sounds terrific. But the Stardock web site says “Impulse must be installed in order to download and update software”. I gather there is some controversy about Impulse. Has anyone had trouble (or success) with this?

(I am not a game player, so I am not worried about that aspect.)

      Aha! The solution is simple.

To migrate QAT files from Office 2007 to 2010, locate your QAT file (in Windows 7, this something like C:UsersRexAppDataLocalMicrosoftOfficeExcel.qat) and just rename the extension from “qat” to “officeUI“.

      That’s it!

      Thanks for your response.

      I have Excel.qat and Word.qat in my C:UsersRexAppDataLocalMicrosoftOffice directory.
Both have timestamps from before my Office 2007 –> 2010 upgrade.
But neither QAT appears in the application — I see the default (save, undo, redo) instead.

I am confused. I’m not sure this has anything to do with roaming. I installed 2010 on top of 2007.

Thanks for the suggestion. But no luck. (I tried by “Vista” and “XP SP2”.)
Was that general advice, or do you actually have a Griffin PowerMate?
