Each reading is in a separate column. The only exception is the first reading each time and that gives me both the date/time stamp and reading but I can separate that using “Right” and “Left ” formulas.

I’ve tried to attach a sample of the test results. If it doesn’t work, here’s what my data looks like. Each of the readings is showing up in its own column.

      0 0 0 0 0 134 134 134 134 134 228 228 228 228

The database only has around 60 fields, so that’s obviously not the problem. This database has been amended several times already, so we must have something corrupted in it. We’ll probably end up re-creating it. Glad we’re still at the start-up stage.

Thank you. I’ll give it a try.

    • in reply to: Excel 97 Macro in 2000 (Excel 97) #584735

I wanted to let you know that I went in and changed the Security setting from High to Medium and that took care of the problem. The next time we opened the spreadsheet, the Disable/Enable Macro screen appeared. When we said to Enable the macros were once again there and available for use.

In regards to what I meant by “assigned to that specific spreadsheet” is that when I created and saved the macros, I saved them in “This Workbook” as opposed to “Personal.xls”. This spreadsheet is one that is used by several different people using several different computers over the course of any given day.

Thanks to everyone for the help. You have once again come through for me.

The macros were assigned to that specific spreadsheet. This is a workbook that has been used every day for over a year by many different people. Those people that are still using Excel 97 are not having a problem with the spreadsheet or the macros assigned to the spreadsheet.

What I mean by not showing up is that the macros are not listed in the Tools – Macro screen. It’s like they were filtered out of the spreadsheet when it was opened.

No. They have opened the matrix and the macros are not there. Someone said something about a switch in Tools – Macros – Security, but I can’t find anything like that in Macros. Do you have any idea what they were talking about?

I’ll give this a try. Thanks.

Just to let you know, I figured out the macro code needed to protect my form without my autonumbering being wiped out.

    • in reply to: locate or remove a link (Excel 97) #568415

I wanted to let you know that I found a way to locate and remove the link. I downloaded a utility called “FindLink.zip”. It works great.

    • in reply to: Average using date criteria (Excel 97) #541629

Using your =Average formula worked. I’m going to have to look up array-entered (Ctrl-Shift-Enter). I have seen this before but have never used it and am not sure how it works, although I can tell it’s a lot different than a simple Enter.

      Thanks for the help.

    • in reply to: Internet conflicts (Access 97) #540826

I just wanted to let you know that we found the problem. Apparently IE5.5 deleted a .OCX file that Access 97 needed. We copied the file from a machine that still had IE4.0 on it and that took care of most of the issues.
