AskWoody LoungerI guess I’m not quite following your idea, egghead. If I import the existing *.pst, it will look exactly the same as the problem I currently have, won’t it? Isn’t the folder structure in the pst?

AskWoody LoungerHave you checked:
Tools — Options —- Mail Format Tab — Fonts (middle button) — it will show you what size font you have set as default for new messages and reply messages. Perhaps you have those two set differently

AskWoody LoungerShane,
The second part — if you right/click your pivot table (or use the pivot table tool bar) chose “show pages”, it will automatically take your “page” field and make a separate worksheet for each one. Using Excel 2000, yes? -
WSpribb
AskWoody LoungerWhy not make a pivot table, making the builds a page field, then you can use “show all pages” to split the information into separate sheets?

AskWoody LoungerFYI to those replying – gdboling (new lounger) and pribb (original post) work side by side. So gbboling is actually the originator of the original question — just used my workstation to post it at first. Please reply to him. (in case we were confusing you)

AskWoody LoungerThanks Rupert,
However the post you refer to doesn’t specify whether the path integrity will be saved when I export to Excel. Also, how do you “add a text field that stores a path to the related jpg” as Seth says? I have posted a new Access request to lounge in hopes that wording it differently might get a bigger response. Thanks -
WSpribb
AskWoody LoungerI’ve also had luck by saving the Excel spreadsheet as delimited text, and then importing the delimited text file to Access, because then it will come up with the screen options of assigning (manually) each data type for each column/field. Pribb

AskWoody LoungerWe have had similar problems with Outlook 98 here at work. We found that the map fields options is not available when importing with Outlook 98. There is a patch available for it which will then give you the option to custom map your fields. See http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/ar…s/Q182/7/28.ASP
Hope this helps. It solved our problems. -

AskWoody LoungerThanks for the suggestions from Brian and MJ. By “Open Special Folder” I meant if you are out of Inbox (into Outlook Today) and you click on File – Open — one of the choices is “Open Special Folder – Open other’s folder”. This is usually how we add someone else’s calendar to our folder list.
I have already tried what Brian suggested (Tools- Options – Properties – Advanced) and it will get the boss’s folder to show up on the folder list, but it will not open.
Could there be a problem with the permissions on the boss’s machine? I have checked it and he has everyone set with the same permissions, so it is stumping me. Perhaps I’m overlooking something? Tracy
