All fixed with new drivers and a standard resolution instead of the custom one I had before and all is well!

      Joe,

Lesson well learned on drivers. Have gone back to Vista for now. My laptop upgrade went flawlessly, so I’ll try again soon.

      Joe,

      Thanks for replying so fast.

I did not have an image to fall back on, I thought the reolution was good to go, and I trusted
Windows upate to keep the graphics drivers up to snuff — which I now realize was a big mistake.

I am presently reinstalling Vista, since I found the disc. I’ll be checking drivers and resolution before venturing again.

If you make a contiguous selection in list view, they can be copied and pasted into Excel.

Thank you for sharing this solution as I also have a Linksys router (wireless) and use FF as well. I now know what to be aware of.

I did not have a BSOD, but one user’s account (full admin rights) couldn’t be initialized and Vista began a new TEMP account log-on for that user, yet remembered the user’s name. Eventually a windows dialog box informed me that a problem existed and recommended updating the video driver, so I did. This seems to have solved the problem. (Nvidia 8500GT)

If you have SYSTEM RESTORE ACTIVE, I’d turn it off, remove the virus, and turn it back on later.

On my HP laptop there is a slide switch on the front that engages the network or turns it off. You might have this too.

Personally I’d use the VLOOKUP function on this.

      =VLOOKUP(A5,A5:E8,5) entered in G5.
