AskWoody LoungerI’ve updated the add-in with some features (not color though)…
-

AskWoody LoungerThe post title mentions 2007…
-
WSpieterse
AskWoody LoungerI thought of that, but hey, if you can find it in the code…
-
WSpieterse
AskWoody LoungerRemoving 2007 and doing a detect and repair from 2003 setup *should* work.
-
WSpieterse
AskWoody LoungerI think it will prove easiest to just give them that file.
-
WSpieterse
AskWoody Lounger=A1 & “-” & TEXT(B1,”0000″)

AskWoody LoungerTools, options, View tab, Windows in task bar.
-

AskWoody LoungerOPen the VBE and paste this code, followed by Enter:
Application.CommandBars(“stop recording”).enabled=true
If that does not bring it back, start recording, then rightclick the menu and see if “Stop Recording” has a check mark. It may help to uncheck and re-check it. -

AskWoody LoungerStyles should travel just fine between both versions. However, for best results, I’d do the reformatting in 2003.
If you keep using this file on multiple versions I recommend keeping it in xls format. -
WSpieterse
AskWoody LoungerYour file is in trouble I’m afraid. There is not just this one cell causing havoc, you have too many different formatting combinations for Excel 2003 to handle. A formatting combination is any unique combination of anything you can change to the formatting of a cell. Even though Excel 2007 IS capable of handling more combinations, I’d still be worried a bit.
I would advise you to go through your file and rationalise the cell formatting.
Now is also a good time to start using styles:

AskWoody LoungerI suspect code editing debris is fooling you.
Export all modules and forms, then remove them. Save the file (use a backup copy!). Close the file, open the file again and import the modules and forms. -
WSpieterse
AskWoody LoungerI know close to nothing about VB.net, but this seems relevant:

AskWoody LoungerSuppose your code is in cell A1, on a worksheet called “Home” (without the quotes), then this macro selects the sheet with the name shown in that cell:
Code:Sub GotoSheet() Worksheets(Worksheets("Home").Range("A1").Value).Select End Sub
You could also use the Hyperlink function in a cell to create a hyperlink to the appropriate worksheet, no VBA code needed:
=HYPERLINK(“#'”&A1&”‘!A1″,”Click here to go to Print layout sheet”) -
WSpieterse
AskWoody LoungerJust tried in Excel XP and it works as advertised: the CF is applied to all selected cells.
Please try again and check if the other cells really have no CF applied (maybe they do have the CF, but it is wrong)?
To check, hit F5, special and select the conditional formatting option. -
WSpieterse
AskWoody LoungerI’d step through the code in 2007. Then when you get to the offending line, highlight parts of that line and try to locate what is causing the error.
