Well, the file is nowhere on my hard disk. As the URL (see my first post, attached picture) says, it probably sits on a Microsoft server and is of course “read-only”. If I disable my network connection I can’t access it from the thumbnail anymore.

So the Script De###### won’t do me much good in this instance, and if it is a typo, the culprit is too far away.

I don’t care for the background but the error messages popping up all the time (same as picture attached, but with different line specifications) are a pain … everywhere. I just wanted to turn them off, not to correct someone else’s scripts.

So are you saying there’s not much I can do?

      Thank you anyway,
      Oana

    • You are right on both counts. Script De###### was uninstalled – and I’ve never worked with it before.
I’ve installed it now, and I’ll try to understand how it works. The Help documentation seems to be intelligible enough.

When I run the Access Help file in order to replicate the error, the De###### stops at this line:

      highlightWindow.Event.srcElement.ParentElement.bgcolor=”#FFFFCC”

Perhaps you’ll bear with me and tell me what other information I should look for.

      Thank you for your time,
      Oana

Thanks for the link, unfortunately Script Sentry doesn’t help in this case.

Thank you for the suggestion. What I got with Script Debugging enabled was the same message window, no more, no less.

It’s not really an encumbrance, I don’t see it so often, but it keeps nagging at me because I don’t know why it happens.

In OE, go to Tools > Options > Maintenance > Store Folder > Change

Thank you very much Hans, you saved my night. It’s exactly what I needed and didn’t know how to get at. I was just beginning to think in terms of a new add-in when I read your post. Of course I’ll miss the brainstorming, but what a shortcut!
      Thanks again,
      Oana

    • Well, Mark, what can I say beside thank you for all the options you showed me? I feel adventurous enough to try them all out since I’m still at the very beginning of learning Access.

    • Thank you, patt. My MA Help file doesn’t know anything about ALTER TABLE, nor does the VB Help. I found it in the MSDN library though and I think I get the general idea.

    • Thank you, Mark, for the code. The problem is I have to use fields from a lot of related tables. I thought I could create a table using the make table query and after that set the index – on the new table.

    • Mark, I had a similar problem to Sarah’s so I first searched the Lounge and found this thread. I need to call a make table query (creating the underlying table for a tree view control), to set the primary key and delete the table when I close the form containing the tree view. I don’t know how and where to specify the primary key, can you please help me?

Of course, and hallelujah, and thank you so much!

    • in reply to: Hide and Seek (OE6) #646695

Thank you Darny, but that’s exactly why I was asking: I don’t send regularly messages to the same people and at the moment I have to rely on my memory.

      Thanks, I’m going there now…

    • in reply to: CD-R/RW as #625906

Hi Bruce, I’m late as usual in joining the discussion but did you give NERO a try? I’ve got it bundled with the other software for my CD-R/RW and have no complaints. You can have multisession-burning (that is, add files like you would do with a floppy, close the session, and if you have some disk space left continue it at another time). It supports a lot of file types, you can burn audio-CDs, data CDs, and even mix audio and data files on the same CD. I just googled around, there seem to be plenty of free and fully functional demo versions out there.

      _____________________________________________________________________________

I installed RealOne for the sole and exclusive purpose of watching the new Lord of the Rings trailer…..
Now that I’ve seen the trailer, I can’t get that shoddy software off my computer fast enough.

Sorry for jumping in so late, I’m a little bit confused about my media players. I have WMP and was feeling quite comfortable with it in spite of the chopped, jerky quality of the movie clips. Like you, I downloaded RealOne just to see the new clip of The Two Towers, but it (the clip? the site?) keeps nagging at me to download Quicktime. As a matter of fact, each site which offered this trailer had it only in Quicktime. Could you point me to the site where you were able to see the trailer using just RealOne, or is Quicktime a must and you have it, too? But then you wouldn’t have needed RealOne, would you?
