Ok well my frist statment was probably a jumble of frustrating words. Like I said I have been working on this for a while now. Anyway let me try to rephrase this a bit.

Ok so I have 2 harddrives that I need to have connected for the various use they are in. Well the problem is that I have my 4 IDE’s used up by 4 other hardware components. A DVD-Rom, CD-Writer, Zip Drive, and my Master Harddrive. Now what I need to be able to do is set up the second harddrive without using the IDE porst seeing as they are all used. With the IDE’s I could pretty much just plug it in and hey there it goes and it’s all good right. Well I need that Zip drive hooked up since I have to hand things in to various professors on disks and a zip disk holds what I need it to (Jump drive’s are a bit expensive to have to many of those). So what do I do? I set up a RAID controller to identify the other Harddisk. I am not actually creating a RAID as most would. I am using the RAID to identify that the other HDD is there so that I can access it. Problem is that it for some reason won’t let me. I know it’s possible because before when I first got the computer it was all working and it was set up in that fasion. Hope this is a bit better of an explination of what I am trying to do.

Thanks Neville. I’ll have to check it out. Most of everything I guess is just a matter of finding one I like and works perfectly for what I need it to do. Thanks for all the suggestions all.

hmm, well I guess if it comes back to often I will just have to settle with turning it off. Better than getting mad about it coming back on me all the time.

ah, yes the good books of getting rid of those nagging problems with windows. I haven’t checked this one out yet, so I will have to hit up my local Bookstore and see what it has to say. hopefully it will have enough good ideas that I might decide to buy it.

Yeah where is the alcoholic part of the tree we all use a good few drinks now and then . I know I have had a few projects that have driven me to grab my self a nice cooling beverage now and again. But yeah all that other stuff is the true part of what I eat when I am laden and sitting at my computer not wanting to move for any long period of time.

Man these programs have helped me a bunch. Now I can finally keep some of that stupid stuff off my comp. Thanks for the info.

Wait, you’re telling me there really is a way to get rid of that annoying messanger program that seems to always get re-installed onto my computer with every Windows update? Finally. Thing bothers me sometimes you know. Alway poping up here and there. Uninstalling it only to have it come back.
