      Just as I thought.

      Thanks Hans!

Good point StuartR! I will keep that in mind!

Thanks HansV! This could do the trick! The document should not require many changes so this could work!

Thanks! Sounds like it’s what I need!

Although I think that’s a great idea (thanks for the tip I will probably use that for my own stuff!) she, the lawyer, does not know Access (and doesn’t want to). We really must stick with Excel.

I thought of that as well however she really needs Excel for her timetable as she needs to use some of its database functions. The idea is that she doesn’t want to put everything in Excel and then go in Outlook and manually input the dates again.

Try the steps in this document.

      Thanks John for your suggestion.

I tried this and although I was able to see the Lawyer Contacts in the list, when I clicked on it I didn’t see the content. I then add a thought: The .PAB file that I ended up selecting contains information about the Personal Address Book. Isn’t the Contacts information in another file? Like the .PST or .OST or some such? It that is the case, shouldn’t those file be stored on the network? Which led me to another question: If, as it is, the filed is stored locally, how can I even see, which I do, the contacts information just by being a delegate. Oy! I admit I am a little overwhelmed and as I dig deeper to find a solution, I come up with new questions!

      Thanks again for your help!

You are right about the Exchange server and the fact that I am suffering from a faulty install. I will post back if I ever figure out what the problem is.

Thanks for your help! It’s nice to know that there is somewhere we can turn to when we encounter troublesome situations.

I have tried this already and the same thing happens which is why I was wondering if there was a setting somewhere I could change. But if it works for you, this indicates to me that maybe my settings are probably different or that the installation was not done properly.

      Thanks for the quick response!

The only error message I get is the one from Microsoft asking me whether I would like to send them a report. As for sending the line of code, I can’t seem to be able to launch VB from this specific db anymore as it crashes as well upon launching.

The data source is a table with lots of data. I have just tried to trick it into working (it seems to be working so far but I would be hard pressed to explain why!). Since my form is created using 3 tables – 2 of these tables provide only 1 field each while the other provides 12 fields – I have tried creating the form with only the table which contains the 12 fields and then adding the other 2 fields manually. So far so good however I doubt this would be considered an efficient way of doing things.

I have also tried the repair function available in Tools… to no avail. Is it just me or is Access XP bugged beyond belief?
