    • in reply to: Protect PPT/PPS files? (2000 SR1) #548045

I don’t want anyone taking my slides & copying them for their own work.
Protect my PPT/PPS files from any recipient.
They should only be able to play my show & not enter it to access the slides.

      Thanks

      Thanks,

Problem is that the Shockwave Player is a component module of IE.
Not an independent application. What can one do in this case?

      Ta.

    • in reply to: Date Setting Problem… (2000) #543790

      Hi,

I managed to solve the problem. When I filled in all the dates for all the tasks – it automatically adjusted the parent tasks’s dates to the correct setting.

      Thanks,

      Hi,

In my case the remember password box pops up every time!!
This is different from the AutoComplete dialogue box.
To see an e.g. of what I’m referring to, pls. goto http://www.myrealbox.com & click the top left hyperlink to login to your a/c.

      Thanks,

    • in reply to: No. of Recipients (XP) #534610

      Cheers.

These are mainly Server based solutions.
Is there any mechanism for doing this from a normal home PC with client based software.

I imagine some neat little s/w exists where I just punch in the emails & it does the rest?

      Maybe some addon for MSWord?

      Thanks,

      m.q.

      Thanks.

Actually I wouldn’t mind spending some money. I like the idea of this software. Pls. tell me where I can donwload trial version to experiment with them.

      Thanks,

      Hi,

I am sending to my ISP from a home dialup account.

It’s funny ’cause some ISPs have this setting, others don’t.

Actually I am not spamming people but running a legitimate mailing list.

So HOW does a Home User like myself run a mailing list of many people?? I know that solutions like Yahoo Egroups exist, but they put cheesy banners & you have to pay to remove them.

      Thanks,

      m.q.

    • in reply to: No Carriage Returns in Form Fields… (Office2000 SR1) #534588

      Thanks for clarifying that Charles.

Actually my problem is that my Form is protected, but still I am able to insert CR’s into the field. Even though it’s length is restricted.

I placed a 512kb Lotus ScreenCam file on the URL :

      http://www.geocities.com/musabqureshi

      which shows my problem visually.

I am trying to prevent this so the user MUST fill the cell on 1 line.

      Thanks,

      m.q.

p.s. the lotus screencam player can also be downloaded from that webpage.

    • in reply to: No Carriage Returns in Form Fields… (Office2000 SR1) #534579

No sorry, I am referring to normal Word Forms.
      Not on-line forms.
Pls. advise me on controlling the form field – i.e. the grey cell with little circles in it (non printing chars.)

      Thanks,

      m.q.

It’s used by Outlook to hold Contacts.

    • in reply to: Download Corruptions.. #526801

      Hi,

IT now report an ISP problem & are aiming to change ISPs!
This red tape procedure could take some time.
Can you do me a favour & email me the file.
If the single file is a problem on either side use WinZip or WinRAR from http://www.winrar.com to split into smaller chunks.

      My address: mqureshi@gulfstars.com

If you can do this – it’ll save me from a LOT of problems.

      Thanks,

      mqureshi@gulfstars.com

    • in reply to: Win98 “Auto Arrange” Default #526800

      Hi,

When file browsing using Windows Explorer – via “My Computer” on the Desktop. I am tired of manually setting it to “Auto Arrange” for every single folder I open!

      TIA,

      m.q.

    • in reply to: Auto Arrange – default #525575

      Brilliant.
Pls. can you give me the same path but for Win98?

      TIA,

      m.q.

    • in reply to: Auto Arrange – default #525500

Yes, I want this to be the default instead of manually doing it each time…
