      Mary

      I am running this Macro to create the journal item and show a VBE form which sends data to the journal item.

      Sub NHM_Create()
          Set myOlApp = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
          Set NHMItem = myOlApp.CreateItemFromTemplate _
          ("C:WINDOWSProfilesMelissaApplication DataMicrosoftTemplatesNHM Journal.oft")
          NHMItem.ContactNames = "New Horizon Ministries"
      frmSelect.Show
      End Sub

      I have published the form (without sending the form definition), but the message still appears when I run the macro. Do you think the problem is that I am using it from a template? How do I access the form otherwise?

      Thanks

      Thanks, this has helped quite a bit. I followed your instructions and the enable/disable macro dialog came up and everything but when I click my toolbar button that runs the macro the attached warning still appears.

      Usually this appears when I run the macro and when I open the form I created with the macro. However, now if I open the journal entry which the macro created it doesn’t give me the warning. This is a step forward but I would appreciate any more tips you (or anyone) has to offer.

      Thanks for your help so far.

      Thanks for your replies so far. I searched Woody’s Lounge for anything regarding PDF and found this post Make your own PDFs. Brian recommends Free PDF here, and I have since successfully downloaded, installed and used it. As I do not often need to convert to PDF, I have been loking for a cheaper solution than Distiller and I think this is quite a good solution.

      I’ve had success embedding all the fonts I’ve tried but the user at the other end can’t always edit the documents I send (Anyone know why?). Apparently some fonts don’t allow themselves to be embedded. May be Peignot is one of them.

      Check in the Customise dialog what the template name in the Save in: combo box is.

      If you are editing Normal.dot and the customisations you want to change (resizing the font box etc) are in a different template when you close the box you will revert to the customisation in the template you are using.

      Select the template that you want to use in the combo box next to Save in: (see attached picture)

      Hope that is some help

      You could embed the fonts in the document, this would ensure that they would appear properly in the document.

    • in reply to: Use Win95 media player with Win ME? #545090

      Scott

      Yes you can get a skin that looks like the old Win 95 Media Player, in fact it comes with the default installation so you don’t even need to download anything. Click on the Skins button and select the “Classic” Skin. To apply it click the change mode button in the bottom right hand corner (two boxes with an arrow pointing from one to the other). Media player will now look like the old version.

      I hope that helps.

    • in reply to: What’s with Word 2000 tables? (2000) #544799

      Wendy

      I have had this problem and I thought I was going to have to do those steps too. It usually appears if you have put text next to the table using the double-click anywhere and type method at any time (even if you subsequently delete the text).

      To fix it: Go into Table properties, under the Table tab, chose text wrapping none.

      That should fix your problem but you will not be able to have text next to your table unless you use a text box.

      Hope that helps

      If you select the image and then click the right mouse button and select picture properties – then reduce the border to 0

      Hope that helps

      When you get to the Font dialog box you can just type in any font name and click OK. Word will find the font even if it isn’t installed.

      Colin

      I had a similar problem, I couldn’t find a way to find the offending characters however if you have word you can copy the text into Word and find/replace the Font that is no longer installed. Then you can copy it back into Publisher.

      Hope that is of some help

      Try MS Personal Web Server – search the MS site to find it.

      I don’t have any suggestions to fix your problem but could you tell me how what the exact formatting of the nohome command line switch is – I would like to use it

      Thanks
