You could always try View – Options – Save sent message to … and change it to the drafts folder

After some more searching I found RealPopup it is free and so far stable. It has an option to use it instead of XP Network Messaging Service. Basically, it fits the bill, but I’d still like to hear from anybody with suggestions.

PWS from NT does process ASP, I had it running on ME before I got IIS with XP Pro

Thanks for the suggestion, MJ and the link, Leif. The Lite version doesn’t work over a network.

If anyone knows of a good free Winpopup replacement, please let me know.

Aha – I see Messenger is a service in XP to send console messages to computers which is totally different to MSN Messengers – or instant messenger which is what the KB article is talking about smile

      Leif, thanks for that link.
I used Winpopup in WinMe and Win95.

How do you used Messenger when you are off line?

Thanks for your reply, I’ll try what you suggest and post back to the board smile

The Readme.txt didn’t seem too helpful – it refers me to the manual – but I’ll follow my nose.

My connection has (touch wood) never dropped off at all – we are able to switch users multiple times. and or log off users. I also use Internet Connection Sharing on some connections and this also does not make any difference. I use XP Pro.

Just to let you know I have never had that problem in XP Pro – even if you completely log off the connection stays there. The only thing I can think of is to check whether the connection is available to all users.

Thanks MaryJ that is exactly what I was looking for smile – now does anyone know how to make my folder dialog come up when a message is put in sent items?
