AskWoody LoungerThanks Night Owl and Charles,
I can get to the protect form part, yet how does one unlock or unprotect the drop down and check boxes allowing the customer to enter their data? I”’ check out the link Charles…thanks again…One can only hope that when I do upgrade to Office 2010 it is a bit more intuitive!!

AskWoody LoungerMarty, The cell function returns information about the referenced cell so that you can make decisions using that information.
Hi RG,
so in the example, A1 Format reveals ,2 or two decimal places shown, 1 protect, the cell is locked and width the column width is 13…..for example what or where would such a function be useful?
Thank you for your assistance!!!

AskWoody LoungerHi Steve,
thanks for the assistance, yet I do not see how 10 x log(base 10) x (Y/S squared) becomes the above…clearly it works, yet why?

AskWoody LoungerHi Ted,
I religously update and run AVG 2012 and Spybot S&D, the jitter conditions appear rather infrequently, but whrn they do the only solution is an orderly shut down and re-start…..although a vast improvement of Vista (and IE9)….it is not perfect. Funny as long as IE9 been released there are still some large company sites that seem to run better on the current version of Firefox than IE 9…
Thanks for your assistance,

AskWoody LoungerHi Al,
It is necessary to disconnect all peripheral drives before re-booting after? in my case installing XP sp 3. This fixed your problem? I have a similar problem ever since letting MS install the sp 3, software. My indications are continually corrupted registry, unstable operation, despite running several registry repair programs. Any insight would be welcomed!!

AskWoody LoungerHi Steve,
No you fully explained it the first paragraph of your last response. In my case I am only interested if any datapoint in the specified RANGE is beyond the spec limits 0 +/-0.7, the MIN and MAX gives me additional data of MIN and MAX which is good to know for future problems….
Thank you once again for your valuable input!!

WSmojave1
AskWoody LoungerAre you looking for something like?:
=IF(OR(MIN(B2:R2)0.7),1,0)Steve
Hi Steve,
So it is the additional parentheses…what does the max min get me? In this case I am interested in the data outside or beyond the -0.7 – 0.7 spec.
Thank you for your help
Marty

AskWoody LoungerI do not completely understand what you are after can you elaborate?
Steve
Hi Steve,
I don’t know how the smiley face got in there sorry…. I want to check the values in a range of horizontal or vertical cells either continuous or not; I attached an excel sheet; so if I want to check the values in each row i.e. if(or(b2:r20.7),1,0) for each row, it get the standard formula error window…..maybe I have a brain cramp…thought you could do it in excel. Along with this I would like to do the same for a discontinuous range of cells.
Thanks for your time
Marty
