AskWoody LoungerHi Paul, could you expand on your kind response, the restore will be after I replace the HD…..Thank you mojave1

AskWoody LoungerYou need a backup program recovery CD / USB to boot from – same software as you used to backup.
Then you need the backup files, probably on an external hard disk.
Run the backup program and follow the restore steps.cheers, Paul
And as I recall a backup program recovery CD must be generated from or with the subject computer??
Thanks Paul…

AskWoody LoungerHi To All,
Thanks for the responses, Paul, so to be for sure, for sure, the back ups I’ve religiously performed (w/system image) actually backs up the OS software? If so, then after replacing the HD, restoring the will be accomplished via the USB peripheral HD, correct?
Thanks for the insight….mojave1

AskWoody LoungerHi RetiredGeek,
I made several attempts to execute the steps as outlined and immediately after step 5 I receive the follwoing error message: “The extract range has a missing or illegal field name”, any suggestions? To be clear I am using Excel 2010 and I highleted the range “Sheet1 A2:E3350″……
Thanks for your assistance.

AskWoody LoungerHi RetiredGeek,
Firsrt, my apology for addressing my last reply to “Retired Greek”…..to clarify the request for any row that contains a “F” or failure I would like to copy that entire row to a new worksheet within the same work book, if possible I’d like to do this with a formula so that as the +10,000 lines or rows of data grows the identification and transfer of rows with an “F” would occur without my intervention or attention. Sorry for the faux paux and confusion…

AskWoody LoungerHi Retired Greek,
I was hoping you would respond…as you have helped me out before. Thank you, I will gives this a try, although I thought using a formula in lieu of advanced filter would be easier.
I’ll give it a shot…

AskWoody LoungerHi RG,
my sentiments exactly…..it came up as a result of assessing whether I should use excel or word for a customer survey…..seems I have too much time on my hands!!! By the way I noticed that you are fluent in VBA, how long did it take for you to achieve fluency??
Thanks again….

AskWoody LoungerHi Charles,
who would have thought….for the form to function one must first lock/protect it…..sure would be nice if this info appeared in MS’s help page!!!
