    • As  my  topic stated, I am only referring to .psd (Photoshop native) files.  Thumbnails for most other file types are visible by following the steps in the post referenced above regarding enabling or disabling thumbnail previews.  I already did that many times to no avail. As I learned on another Adobe-related forum, thumbnails for .psd and other Adobe file types have technically not been available in Windows for some time due to issues between Microsoft and Adobe.  Although I had apparently loaded some program or other on my old Windows 10 laptop which contained the Adobe file codecs, I gave up trying to figure it out and just downloaded a 3rd party codec to enable the Photoshop file thumbnails (and for many raw files as well) to show up in Windows Explorer.  It was worth $9.95  for the FastPictureViewer codec. As a photographer, my file system and backups contain thousands of .psd files and it’s nice to once again be able to see their thumbnails directly in Windows Explorer without loading some other viewing program.

Thanks for the attempts at answering my question.

I gave up using OneNote  when it required me to be connected to the internet to see and/or download my notebooks.  I want to sync a complete copy of a notebook to my android phone or tablet for traveling and using offline.  The last I tried it, I just got a few pages at a time.  Am I missing something?  In any case, I enjoyed the article.

I am having the same exact problem as David. When trying to create a recovery drive per Fred’s instructions including copying the recovery partition, no external drives are recognized. If I uncheck the “Copy the recovery partition …” checkbox, the drives are recognized. I have tried this with several drives, including a brand new empty 2T external drive (so I know it is not an issue with the amount of available space on the external drive). I have seen other references to the issue in some MS forums as well. Most of the posters appear to be working with laptops of various brands. I have a Lenovo Idea Pad running Win 8.1 x64. I cannot find a solution anywhere. Sure would appreciate it if somebody could come up with an answer. My suspicion is that the fault lies in the actual MS utility to create the recovery drive.
