Retired geek, I had same problem again with another spreadsheet, apparently I did not load “name manager”.
However, resetting did not work, it then gives again the message: “can’t find….”. Any other ideas?

Thanks RetiredGeek, it works but don’t know how! I must have added in the right add-ins!
Will try to use it, if it happens again.

      Zeddy, perhaps some semantics:

Am afraid that if I start to load 2010 after 2003, I get the message: “do you want to upgrade”and then the answer should be “NO”. Being a nerd and a Murphy-fan I sometimes see more potential problems, than there actually may be.

On my original question: have just restored my Dell PC to factory settings and am about to reload 2003, tehn 2010! Did not need a Win7 disk

      Zeddy, thanks for your reply.

What if this is not an upgrade, but on an empty PC? MS recommends Office 2003 first, then 2010, KB2121447.

But then I don’t upgrade, just install a second version.

Does yr version of Excel2010 keep all settings (trusted locations, ribbon customisation etc) when you save a file(to a template?)

    • in reply to: MS Office 2010. Recent documents do not show #1368030

I have same problem; Had Office 2010 plus Excel 2003 installed under Windows 7; found that I should have installed Office 2010 first and then Excel 2003. I corrected that.

Still no luck! So I completely removed Excel 2003, no luck. The registry location mentioned does not show ….14officeappname, only ….system certificates and windows . Under softwaremicrosoftoffice it still shows ….Office11

Should I completely delete (or rename to ….office11old?)
      Any advice appreciated, Maarten
