AskWoody LoungerI did a search/find on my computer for “konvertor” . It did not find “konvertor”. I downloaded “startuplist” and ran that program and then did a search for “konvertor”. It found nothing. Yet, when I try to change the file type jpg it still gives me the message that that extension is being used by “konvertor”. What am I doing wrong?

AskWoody LoungerI did what you suggested, which sounded reasonable to me. I deleted the old file type and reestablished a new one. When I tried to click o.k. I got the following message. “The extension ‘.jpg’ is already in use by file type ‘konvertor’. Choose another extension.” I don’t even know what this konvertor is! I’ve done a file search and came up with nothing.

AskWoody LoungerHans, I checked Word and the hyperlink did not work in word either. I did a repair & reinstallation of Office 2000 and now everything seems to be o.k.
P.S. I do have a virus scanner and it detected no virus present. I must have muffed something up. Anyway, it’s working great and thank you and everyone else for the input. You all are great! -

AskWoody LoungerJan,
I have links to various web sites and none of them work anymore. I’ve deleted the links and recreated them but to no avail.
Maybe somehow I’ve picked up a virus or something. I’m at my wits end.
Thanks -

AskWoody LoungerHans, If I go back to the worksheets where the hyperlink worked previously, now it doesn’t. It gives me the unexpected error. Same thing for March, February and January. Where once they worked, now the don’t. I even tried using the hyperlink formula but that doesn’t work either. I’m baffled.

AskWoody LoungerI clicked on the hyperlink symbol and from there I navigated to the web page the I wanted. That inserted the hyperlink on my excel worksheet. Like I said, it has worked for 4 months. I copied it to each sucessive worksheet and up until May, it has worked fine. Now all of a sudden, unexpected error. Sorry if I’m not supplying proper info. I’m pretty green at this.

AskWoody LoungerThat has corrected the problem. Evidently too much stuck in the cache. Thank you very much
