      Mary J & LennyJo,

Went back into News Accounts Properties, removed the reply address, re-typed the e-mail address; & now it’s working fine. I can send new messages, as well as reply to existing ones. Thanks much.

      Phil,

The application is not in the programs folder. Right now, there is only one instance of an executable file on my entire system to launch the soundcard’s mixing console; & it is an icon in my System Tray. If I could simply find the folder for the System Tray, I could create my own shortcut. That is all I want to do…find the folder for the System Tray.

      Terry (or anybody),

Couldn’t find it through your path (HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersion.) Found a related folder in HKEY_CURRENT_USER, but not any type of .exe file. The app I am trying to find is the mixing & routing console from my new soundcard, Echo Audio’s GINA 24. That’s really the only executable software app the card uses, the remainder being hardware related. The icon in the System Tray launches the console fine, I just want to be able to launch from my Start > Programs menu. When I began to browse around to find an app folder from Echo Audio…well, that’s the larger problem. There’s a folder entitled Echo 24 in the Windows Systems folder, but the only file in the folder, when opened, places another type of icon in the System Tray. When that is opened, it’s the same mixing & routing console, but with a different title. I have a support request in to Echo Audio, but I find it strange that an applications foler of some sort cannot be found on my system, with an .exe file which can be dragged to the Programs folder. Weird.

      Thanks.

      Doc,

The Icon is in the System Tray, but not in the Start-Up folder. I have no idea why.

      Kevin,

That’s what I do, but a preview is not available. When I attempt to insert, the message reads that Publisher may not recognize the format, or that the applicable converter may not be loaded. I loaded both the .tif & .jpg converters from the CD; & it still won’t open. The studio where I purchased the photo told me that it was saved in Photoshop as a .tif with a MAC Byte order. They said to try saving a copy as a .tif in Paint Shop Pro, which would bring up a dialog box giving me the option to utilize a PC Byte order. Thanks.

      MJ,

On that rule…I know i should follow it…but…wouldn’t a logical assumption be that every end user has an Operating System; & that most of those are Windows based; & that on those particular computers there should be no problem in displaying standard OS fonts above & beyond the 11 basic fonts? How many computers in the world only have 11 fonts? (Or is there a more technical aspect I am missing?) Thanks again.

      WyllyWylly,

Thanks much. I believe you saved me from a nightmare. I solved a majority of the problem by running System File Checker & replacing corrupted or missing system files. I guess for a total fix, it’s time to move up to XP? Thanks again.

      Thanks.

I restored the file from my Win98 CD using System File Checker (I had gone to the Adaptec site but could not navigate around for some reason.)
