AskWoody LoungerI want D5 to match E27.

AskWoody LoungerThank you for your response. I understand the principle of what you suggest but I haven’t any idea how to implement it. Can you assist me please?
Please see the attachment. On opening a new worksheet amongst others cell D5 is blank. The user types a rental in that cell as well as typing appropriate data in other cells. The formula in cell E21 returns the result of the basic calculation. The next step is to enter a target rent in cell E25 that displays a target rental in cell E27. I want that target rental to change the rental in cell D5 each and every time the the target rental is recalculated.
I hope this is less vague!

AskWoody LoungerTwo cliches come to mind:
`It’s hard to teach an old dog new tricks’ and `There’s no fool like an old fool’.
That’s twice recently that I have been caught out by glaringly simple coding errors. Nevertheless I am very grateful that you were able to point to the specific error and also to point to a useful tool for future use. All is now well with the gallery.

AskWoody LoungerSeems it’s a case of never mind the CSS – just feel the width! {8;-))
Thank you for reply and the explanation.

AskWoody LoungerHans,
Thank you very much for your reply and its contents. I am trying to send you a large gin but I can’t get it into my router. My faith in you and this forum is confirmed yet again.

AskWoody LoungerSeparate coumns? Definitely not! Your way is aok by me. How is it done or do I have to work it out for myself?
Formula! I was obsessed with filldown and the like.
Thank you very much.

AskWoody LoungerNow when register php is run there is a different error this time in the HTML immediately after the PHP script:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_LNUMBER in /home/mewalker/domains/mewalker.co.uk/public_html/membersarea/register.php on line 71Line 71:
I am attaching a copy of the register.php file in case that may show where the problem is.
BTW – I like your site – neat and workmanlike. I have looked at Joomla! but it’s very hard for a lazy old dog to learn new tricks!

AskWoody LoungerI’m sure my dear wife will provide the warmth – but after I have consumed the wine!

AskWoody LoungerPhew! Back again and it all seems AOK. Now I wonder what I did with that half empty bottle of Rioja Muriel?
Hans – a very sincere thank you. My Recycle Bin is truly empty!

AskWoody LoungerI’ve followed the link in your message and read the item. When I click Empty Recycle Bin a dialogue appears:
Confirm Multiple File Delete
Are you sure you want to delete these two items?
Yes NoI do not have the courage (or recklessness) to click Yes. Particularly when I open the Recycle Bin and see only the one object I placed in it for the purposes of this exercise!

AskWoody LoungerEdited by HansV to replace reduced screenshot with clearer version
I’ve done what you suggested without any apparent change place.
A screen shot is attached to confirm.

AskWoody LoungerThank you Jerry. I realised after I had sent register.php as an attachment that something was amiss. I had forgotten to protect the PHP code with the opening and closing remarks (the less than symbol should follow?) . From previous experience FrontPage will not modify or add to a script so remarked.
So I have amended my register.php and deleted all the FP dross. Progress on the implementation of this script is on hold for the time being but I will report back probably tomorrow.
In the meantime my thanks to you and the other contributors – as always I am very grateful.
