      Go to MAM-A. They sell gold thrmal disks – not cheap, but good, quality stuff. Store in Safety deposit box – pull every few years and test. Make secondary back up at 5 years.

      Probably the easiest way to retain specialty image settings is to create a template and save it – then use it each time you want to send pictures.

      Windows 7 Security: What’s the Real Story?

      The tech press, like the mainstream news media, loves a story that makes somebody or something (in this case, Windows 7) look bad. Thus it’s not surprising that after last week’s Pwn2Own hacking contest, which was part of the CanSecWest security conference in Vancouver, Canada last week, headlines like this one popped up: “Hackers Exploit Windows 7 in 2 Minutes.”

      They did this by disabling DEP and ASLR via the web browser. (not as you reported: circumventing it). Please get the story straight!

      The optical drives are usually not visible unless there is a CD/DVD in them – makes plowing through the “libraries” that win 7 insists on showing to find a logical drive easier
