You could copy all the data to another drive, delete and resize the partition through Disk Admin then copy it back.
Or do a (verified) back-up, resize and restore.

Not really the solution, but ControlK should invoke the name check.

I think this may be more of which is your default browser.
In IE, Tools/Options/Programs and use the ‘IE should check to see if it is the default’. This may force it back to IE.

When you double click the event in calendar, does it ask whether you want to open just it or the series?
Try to open just that occurrance and delete it when it’s open.

I remember reading about a similar problem some months ago but can’t remember what the eventual outcome was – sorry
Are you using net folders or net meeting? Just wondering if the info is being stored elsewhere?
Have you tried archiving ‘up-to’ after that date?
      Otherwise:
Try exporting the contents of your calendar to a .txt file and see if you can spot it in there.

I think someone may need to ask Eileen to add a suitable flag for this language…..

Using Word 2K here and you can certainly rotate grouped and ungrouped objects created from Autoshapes. But, you can’t rotate the clip art.
Importing the images into Photo Editor for rotation may be a solution? – but you’d have to replace them onto the rotated shapes.

=(24 – StartTime)+EndTime seems to give the correct result but formatted as 07:15 not 7.25
I’ve just written some macro code to import workers times from a CSV, total them, add a tea-break allowance etc. Formatting the cells for correct display (i.e. hh:mm) just did not work for me – in frustration I ended up using everything as strings and extracting the values before and after the “:”
Still, I’ve got a working solution so I’m happy.

      More questions:
Do your users have local or roaming profiles?
Does it happen every time the Word is opened, or just the first time after logging in?

    • in reply to: Word 2000 and Printers #1774654

      Just a suggestion:
We used to run Winfax which had macros for finding the right printer by accessing the registry. I think Winfax lite is included with Office 2K (?) but am not sure if the macros are included with that version.
I started disecting the code for another purpose and had some success in re-writing it – unfortunately the pc it is on is not immediately accessible.
Considering the talent that responds to this forum I would be surprised if you don’t get help on this one but I’ll dig it out if none is forthcoming – at least it may give you a leg up.

Two things to try for getting OS version from Start/Run:
1] Winver – should give you a single window review
2] Msinfo32 – should tell you just about everything you need to know.

I don’t honestly know. I suspect that it may be a hardware problem – but where do you start? You could check things like the card is properly seated in its slot – even taking it out and refitting may help.
Make sure the screw fixing the card bracket to the chassis is secure.
Other than that, it may just be the age of the card .
Can you not just get away with leaving it muted?

    • in reply to: troubleshoot audio problem #508675

Well, I believe some soundcards do have midi inputs – often shared as a joystick port.
So, it could be a mechanical problem – otherwise, if you don’t use it, just leave it muted.
Do you have a soundcard installed?

    • in reply to: Duplicates #508672

      Duplicates in calendar:
Are you sure you have only one set of holidays added?
      Check Tools/Options/Preferences/Calendar Options/Add Holidays
But it does sound like your own calendar entries have been duplicated..? Do you have more than one Personal Folders loaded?
