This afternoon after following your advice, installing & then uninstalling, I clicked Start/Settings/Windows Update/check for updates & that’s all, Windows 11 started to download, I immediately paused updates. Previously (Yesterday) after it had completed the D/L it would ask me to restart to install. I immediately paused updates.

Did I miss something? Should I click something to stop Windows 11 installing? My eyesight is atrocious. I’m nearly blind.

OK! Thanks Susan. about 1/2 hour install and 10 minutes to get rid of it. Now I would say that’s about 10 years of my life wasted by MS.

I followed your advice and then I checked Windows update {nothing else clicked } & it started to d/l Win 11, no questions asked, I’ve paused the upgrade. HELP again.

      This is what I’ve doing for years. Put my data files on my D drive. {easier for backups too}
      it is important that Windows know where they are. Just go to your profile folder: c:Users”MyUserName
      Then right click on Documents, go to Properties. On the Location tab, just hit the Move button and select where you want it moved to on Drive D. When you hit OK you will get some prompts (click yes & copy & replace twice) and things will be moved for you. And
      Windows will make sure everything gets redirected there in future. Applies to Downloads, Favorites, Music, Pictures, Contacts, Search to Drive D
