I am not an expert with SprintDB ADOCE SQL, but I have got great assistance from the SprintDB support folks when I did need some help. It may be worth an e-mail.

    • in reply to: Format Due Date Column in Outlook (2003/SP2) #1005428

Thanks John – the problem is that when I right click on the field, and then click on ‘Format Column’, the only options I have are dates – none of them have times. The format I want is available on the ‘Reminder Time’ field, but I can’t find a way of getting that to the Due Date field.

Thank you – such intuitive naming of the field … This code will save me hours of work, and avoid lots of potential errors. Thank you to all who contributed, especially Helen F.

Hans, the code is brilliant! For me, the cherry would be to know how to access the large ‘notes’ window that is available in Outlook. I have some information that I would like to capture in that field, but update in Access. There doesn’t seem to be a .Notes or .Comments option when I try and modify the code …

      Many thanks,

    • in reply to: Moving comments ‘bubbles’ (2003/SP1) #975498

Thanks, Phil. I agree that the comment references are a pain, but that is my company’s preferred MO for certain things! Moving them is problematic, so the approach I have taken is to tell the writers that they must use the space after the reference!

I also agree with the comments about the reviewing pane – it used to be easy to show. But, I guess that is a Microsoft ‘feature’ or an upgrade that is really a backward step! The problem is, how do you tell a novice computer user (there are still a few! of those at our client companies!) how to display or turn off the comments? Not easy …

    • in reply to: Parsing memo field into separat table (2003/SP1) #953970

Thanks, Hans – really helped me out today! However, myTable2 ended up with a lot of records with apparently blank fldAuthor entries.

I will have a little more time over the next few days to try and sort out what is really happening and if I need to clean up the data first, but thanks for the great start.

    • in reply to: Can’t run/edit macros (2003 SP1) #912057

      Finally fixed it music.

Made sure that I had backups of the important bits, reinstalled Outlook, and then ran Detect & Repair. Am now in the happy state of being able to write and run macros again clapping.

      Thanks for the support!

Many thanks – I’ll try this at home. My office computer now has a working .otm file.

I’ll let you know if this works!

Thanks for the advice – unfortunately that doesn’t work either. Looks like a fresh install of OL. Not a high priority as there is no problem with running macros in the other office products. Just frustrating! brickwall bummer
