May 7, 2015 at 7:51 pm in reply to: SSD Install #1503542

The way I solved it was to install a trial version of soundtap and then immediately uninstall it. After rebooting, my cpu now idles at around 3%. At this moment with Outlook and Chrome open with 5 tabs, my cpu is at 6%.

Good one and nice of you to share this as well.

March 25, 2015 at 3:33 pm in reply to: How to restore hijacked browser? #1497240

Just to chip in here. There is actually another way to fix this without using a single software.

If you have a restore point set up, you can just use Windows utility called “System Restore”. What it does is it sets your settings and executables at an earlier point without deleting your documents, at least that’s what they claim, but so far, I haven’t experience any issues with my data.

Nice thing to do with your reseller. I think most of them will just have delaying tactics and all.

I’d recommend checking out IOBit SD. I’ve been using it for a month now.

That’s true. I always live be a quote that says “Data only exists if backed up”. I will be an ugly scenario if your PC crashes an lose all your files.

I think that will always been the case if a person is being to hasty looking for an answer. They always want it straight away.

January 4, 2015 at 2:21 pm in reply to: EasyBCD version 2.2 #1483215

As of June 20, 2011 with the release of EasyBCD 2.1, it is no longer free for use in commercial environments which require the purchase of a paid license,

This could have been a good software for a small office set up.

December 9, 2014 at 7:31 pm in reply to: Realtek drivers #1479516

Back to the original post. Why is the driver being replaced? There is no mention of any problem. If the sound system is working properly then leave the driver alone.

      Joe

I need to give that a +1. Most users just want to update because it’s the newest but the thing is that newest often times comes with a bug.

Before you uninstall, make sure to create a manual restoration point first.

December 8, 2014 at 9:12 pm in reply to: Have lost Google Chrome #1479314

I think this can be caused by corrupted files for chrome. Try uninstalling Chrome and deleting everything in C:Documents and Settings%USERNAME%Local SettingsApplication DataGoogleChromeUser Data

I’d leave that G drive alone. I doubt that it will cause you any performance issues in the future.

IE has been known to have issues. I only use it by the way if a website only allows IE to open the site.
