      bootmgr miraculously started working.

f8 does not work on that pc. once chkdsk has completed it vanishes from the screen as the cmd window closes.

Disk is partitioned + I have a second HD for backups.

Have not run chkdsk. What should I be looking for?

Just ran it and the results are:

      36692-chkdsk

      What does this tell me?

Thanks for the response. Recording from turntable through a tubed preamp then into the pc through the sound card. The strange part of all of this is that this situation is relatively new. Also, the static occurs with all playback. Right now I’m listening to jazzradio.com and there is static. And no recording being done at the moment.

      A thousand thank you’s. Now about that beer . . .

    • in reply to: Eliminate some fields but not record in report #1281972

Thanks for the reply. The light just went on with your suggestion. I was trying to do it with only one conditional statement and in the WHERE portion of the SELECT statement. It has to be with each field that is affected.

You’re not only on the right track, that is a bulls eye.

      How to Thank?

    • in reply to: stored parameter #1273918

The Operating System is indeed Windows 7 64-bit. The photos are placed in a directory and the path is stored in an Access database.

Your suggestion to redesign is not an option. but thanx for your input.

It works now! Somehow during the conversions from XP to Vista to Win 7 the sound card got misdirected so it would only listen (ha-ha) to the front jacks min & headphones & ignored the real jacks in the back. Took some tinkering and a special beta program for Win 7 by Creative for the new soundcard & all jacks are actually working properly. Took 3 turntables to find one that worked correctly- correct playing speed & I can actually say I have complete my first vinyl lp to cd project Thank you all for your help-THANKS again Joel, Fred (really like SIW!), Gerald & Ted- you steered me in the right direction!

As an aside, Judy, which program, if any, do you use to restore your vinyls?

      Hans,

Many thanks for the help. That is exactly what I was/am looking to do. Appreciate your help.

The Maiden name goes to the married classmate. Rosie is the classmate as entered into the user interface.

I understand the efficiencies or lack thereof with a one to one. However, for now that has to stay as is. Hopefully, that will not affect the Union All Select, will it?

    • in reply to: Union All Select #1166376

Yes, NumAttend is field in a table. The qty in most cases will be either 1 or 2. If the classmate is married but spouse is not attending this function, then that number would be 1. Trying to use that field to somehow eliminate the printing of that name tag. At the present my thinking is to add an other field called SpouseEventAttend as a boolean. When the user fills in the number attending this event that boolean field could be flagged as true if both classmate and spouse are attending or false if only the class mate is attending. If classmate is bringing an additional friend, then I’m really stumped.

The database is used in a VB6 program.Hopefully, that should be of no concern.

I think that the IIF(MaidenName = ‘(Spouse)’,”,”) is to even out the Union All Select.

The zipped, stripped db is attached.

      Appreciate the help.
