AskWoody LoungerHello,Bob et-al,
Thank ya-all for responding. Upon further investigation (with magnifying glass) the Hitachi PN is “oa33664” May 2007 DiskStar 7200Rpm 400GB SATA 3.0 GB/s. My operating system “PC-Doctor” gave me the information on the disk drive, don’t know why it said that it was a “SCSI” When the label says “SATA” If i can get the “Hitachi” unit as StuartR’s link provides, or go with the “big box store brand” SATA? AskWoody LoungerBob,StuartR, Jeff ,Big Al,
Thank you all (“ya all”) for all the explanations and down load sites. The “ccleaner ,unlocker, set command ” are enough to keep me busy (and probably in trouble for days to come) Guess that i’ll have to run out and buy that “acronis true image v 11″after all. Regards to all Plain Fred. -

AskWoody Loungerpeterg,

AskWoody LoungerPilgrim Hello,
Thanks for the response. What i meant by “set switches” is,when the Win Bubble screen “pop up” displayed i set, or clicked on the tabs, buttons “switches” (my choices) then clicked on apply , then logged off. After logging back on …no changes . ex .desk icon ,no search back on start panel etc. Regards Plain Fred.
PS. don’t know how to do a “screen shot” -

AskWoody LoungerPilgrim, hello and greetings from the great free state of Tennessee
Jeff went to the “unlock for us” home page and downloaded 1st vs 1.71 (regain start search) At the set up screen set various switches logged off … no luck, nothing whatsoever happened. Then i tried the 1.73 version, at the set up screen, again set switches logged off and nothing?
Have any ideas what im doing wrong? (except fooling with computers) Regards Plain Fred. -

AskWoody LoungerDaveA,
Hello and greetings from the great “Free State of Tennessee” Question, when you say “burn a image”. What exactly are you doing? Are you using the operating system (OS) or copying some files to disc or some “combo” of both?
Regards Plain Fred -

AskWoody LoungerDaveA,
