Works under VMware with xp loaded. just can’t get it to install under windows 10,
and I guess no way of migrating the program over from the current windows 10 machine.
Thanks for all your suggestions

AskWoody LoungerApril 29, 2016 at 12:21 pm in reply to: Program works on win8 machine upgraded to win 10, but can’t install on new win 10 machine #1561724Good thought which is the way I managed to get it to work on an install on windows 8
On windows 10 New machine, The setup.exe when clicked this app can’t run on this pc check with manufacturer. If I try another setup.exe outside of the autrun then it circles and the circling just disappears.
I know that I have it running on my thinkpad t440 with windows 8 that was upgraded to version 10 so runs fine under 10.
It is medical manager that basically is not in existence any more.
No way of copying the registry items over with some program that will go find everything???? ie some migration program.
I copied the basic registry over to the new machine but evidentally did not find all of the entries
any workaround or trick
Thanks

AskWoody LoungerApril 15, 2016 at 6:23 pm in reply to: changing a column of numbers to date and reformat to a custom date #1560217Since that number, 19721024, isn’t in a date format that Excel recognizes, you have to convert it to one.
If the format is: yyyymmdd, then this will work for you (the actual numbers in column B are 26596 and 42374, respectively (if you care). Then, they are formatted using a date format.
Not certain what I am doing incorrectly see print screen attached. Many thanks

I did not check the macro version as I have to plug it into the database sheet and change reference values…. -

AskWoody LoungerMarch 27, 2015 at 10:32 am in reply to: Re arrange Date in Column from yyyymmdd to mmddyyyy #1497497Dear Zeddy and Kweaver both of your solutions are phenomenal. Thankyou. I ran both and because some cells within the 5000 Date of birth records have 0 for a number because the date of birth had not been recorded both solutions error out. Is there a way to build in error handling for records that have 0 or are blank in their cells. I would manually enter but it seems that there are approx. 100 records throughout the spreadsheet….
Thank
