    • in reply to: IE8/IE9/Firefox/Chrome: all are extremely slow #1340512

:o:Was using Firefox and it stopped working, could not connect except to home page on Hughes Net. Switched to IE9, it too stopped working, switched to Chrome, same problem. Am now using Sea Monkey and it works just fine, have no problems except of course the it doesn’t recognize RoboForm, but that is a minor problem at least I can browse the internet with no problem. My Thunderbird also works fine email downloads with no problems either.

Have tried everything I know to do including a deep scan using Advanced System Care 5. Malware scan too, nothing in the way of malware on my system.

I have a number of free ebooks from Google Books. I can leave them in Google Play or download them in .PDF format. I prefer to have them on my computer so I download them. Just found some great reading about Thomas Jefferson, and reading some of his correspondence as well. No cost books are great and .pdf works for me well.
Also you can get some historical works from CCEL.org it is religious works from ancient through early 20th Century works.

You can use wordpress directly, go to wordpress.com and read their FAQ’s. If your webhost does not allow you to use wordpress on your pages then you might have to work with it on their website. They have Akismet which catches spam, and tells you they have caught spam and you can then look at what it shows and deal with accordingly. It does not get on your pages unless you approve it.

I too have been using the program for 10 years now. It is a very good one for Bible Study and of course the price is right. They have added much to this program over the years as well. I’m glad that this program has gotten known, although the email lists that used to be available for it on Yahoo, have now been shut down.

    • I have run REVO and it says that the only iteration of Firefox on my computer is 6.0, so I guess I am good to go there. Thank you for pointing out this program.

    • Have you checked out this support article? Firefox keeps opening many tabs or windows | Troubleshooting | Firefox Help

A word of thanks for the article, I have followed the thoughts and information and will do the work it suggests. Will see if it works out the way it should. Again thank you.

    • in reply to: carbonite.com – beware of #1283955

I use Carbonite as well and am happy with it. However, if you are using Hughesnet for your internet, be aware that you will exceed your usage limit real quick with this program, I have had to limit it to one day a week backup, with only limited hours, the hours that Hughesnet allows free up and download. Otherwise it is a great program, and I know my files are safely backed up.

I have been using FTP Commander and find it to be a good one, clean interface and easy to set up. You can get it at Freewarefiles.com or download.com

I just looked at Fox News, it showed that Hannity is on now, so clicked on that. I a now watching the Hannity Show on my computer. It appears to be real time, it also appears to be the full show.
