A little further down south, it’s not quite so cold.

And I was thinking we were west of Suny329. I looked at the location – Ar – and thought Argentina!

Johanna (west of Canberra with 36 degrees at 10.00 am with wind speeds up to 25 knots. Looks like this week’s dust storm is approaching!)

The Powerpoint viewer needs to be run once before it will assume the default PPS opening role. Until then, double-clicking a PPS file will start the Open with dialogue..

That’s not been my experience with this.

For me, install Powerpoint Viewer and then double click the file that I want to see and away it goes. I do this regularly on new Win 7 machines that are on the shop floor to display their specs.

      Thank you all.

I will check out Picasa. I tried an earlier version of that some time ago but found that I had other products that would do what I wanted. I didn’t think about it for this purpose. Thanks for reminding me.

Reminds me of a comment from a local rice farmer:

“The only thing sillier than a sheep is a sheep farmer”

      I guess everyone needs heirachies

The Original Poster said that he has gone back to XP. Is the activation key still ‘dead’? Or will he have to ring Microsoft for that?

As opposed to the more mythical (or lyrical) Hay, Hell and Booligal – all of which are only a few hours drive away from me.

      Aurally …??

Actually I want to know what the missing ones are (4 – 9) and can I interpret the final one in binary and prove that I am a techno idiot who doesn’t know it?

Congratulations from me, too! Are you going to ‘give full details’ about just how wonderful the new job is?!

BAtcher, it is probably too early to tell. But let’s just say that the old job was not one that anyone would want to continue in and it was best that I left.
