Well loungers, I was able to figure it out! These are ‘hidden’ files, folders, icons, etc. How they became that was is still a puzzle to me, however, I can now correct the problem. Thanks for those of you who viewed my query.

      Hi Catharine, thanks for responding,
The gridlines are what appear when you first open a book yes, naked you could say; no formatting whatsoever.
These gridlines just seem to go with a ‘cut’ or ‘copy’ of the cell, then when you print the document the lines aren’t there.
Just don’t know how to replace them again.

Geez, you’re absolutely right!!! On the CD, it says, “PC DVD-ROM”! What now?? The first Majesty disc I have there’s no mention of that at all.

      Thanks StuartR
With a family of 6 and relatively new to ‘this’ Word2007 (formerly a user of Word2003 for many years) I just couldn’t find where to look.

      Hans,
Thanks, I did find that I had ‘enabled’ the option of not allowing the deletion in the system policy after all.

      Dave,
Thanks! After consideration of Microsoft’s infamous nature of duplicating/triplecating the same items to control the same things, I believe you’re right.
All your help previous well appreciated.

    • in reply to: Tools List IE7 (IE7) #1138619

      Joe,

That did it! At first, was expecting NOT to see the pages at all listed under the ‘View History’ option, however, when I right clicked, lo and behold the choice of “Delete” was not available.
Thanks very much for you help. clapping

    • in reply to: Tools List IE7 (IE7) #1138580

      Ok Joe
This gets me the deletion of the Delete Browsing History option from the ‘Tools’ drop-down list, however, I still have the “History” option in the Favorites Centre drop-down. I see hundreds of choices in the area of Group Policy Editor but I’m unable to determine which one to choose.
      Help??

    • in reply to: Tools List IE7 (IE7) #1138577

      Thanks Joe,
This sounds somewhat similar to the path for enable/disable the selected tabs in the Internet Options dialog box.
      I’ll give this a try.

    • in reply to: Tools List IE7 (IE7) #1138572

Thanks, never thought ’bout that one. I have hidden the ‘General’ and ‘Security’ tabs from the Tools/Internet Options dialog box without any difficulty. I found that that was the most likely place for the user to go. But now I have two more areas to contend with. Can we go ‘deeper’ to find a way to do this? Both the Tools drop-down and the Favorites History??

      Hans,

      Many thanks,
My problem in this area at least has been solved; it was that ‘Alt+Enter’ that I didn’t have.
