AskWoody LoungerSame problem here, NetGear Rp614V2 router, 2x Win XP machines and a Win Me machine. Restarted the router and cable modem and everything was fine again.

AskWoody LoungerI think he measn that the you can write code to change other parts of the code during run time. Kinda like adding a textbox to a form durig run time but changeing the code itself.
I think!

I think i’ll wait until the final spec come out, just to be sure. I don’t really have any preferance with what gear i buy, but i want to keep it all the same manufacturer. i am also building a Multimedia PC simular to the one here http://www.intel.com/english/home/customiz…ild/example.htm%5B/url%5D and have to add this to the network. Any surgestions on the multimedia PC side too? I know most of the hardware i’m gonna get but i’m not sure about the sound card and where to get a good looking slimline desktop case.
Cheers

Don’t know what web host i am using, but i’m with NTl so it’ll be the one they use, my OS is Windows XP Pro. I’m not using front page, was using the My Network Places bit in Win Xp to log into my webspace and then tried a free ftp thing. I Don’t think NTL offer password features through a web-based control panel because it’s free but i could be wrong.
This might help too:
My Upload Site is = upload.ntlworld.com
My Homepage would be = homepage.ntlworld.com/jamie.astonthanks

AskWoody Loungeror why not try VBScript in the Startup folder in the Start menu. There is some code attached. Rename it to .vbs and run. But as alwaysa with VBS take a look at it first to make sure it’s not gonna bust up ur system. If you have a firewall on the PC you might have to set it to let the Script run.

AskWoody LoungerI think VB is the answer as it does not place “deleted” items in the recycling bin, it just erases them from the HDD. This means that you would not have to write code to empty the recycling bin, only to delete the files. I have attached the code to do this but it will not delete the files if the file is in use, you will need to write an ErrorHandler to handle this, or re post here if you can’t do it and i will try to do it for you.

AskWoody LoungerMarch 28, 2003 at 9:19 am in reply to: Re: Intigrating GroupWise 5.5 and Excel 97 (Excel 97) #664658thanks pieterse, your little one liner worked like a charm, until i started sending files with long filenames, then it kept trunkating them. Accdb, tried your bit of code and it works perfeclty, im coding it into my SQL queries at the moment. That should save me a few hours a week. Thanks again you lot, i have learnt more here than any of the books i’ve read.
Thanks again
